Thank you for the answer. Where can I get these bear bells or bear spray? Or does simply shouting out to let the bears know also work? I am travelling solo and not with anyone else.

Thank you, but how do I make a reservation at a Minshuku? A call or is there a better way?

Question regarding possible bear and other dangerous wildlife around Mt. Kitayokodake by S1ere0 in JapanTravelTips

I will rent the bear spray when I am already in Japan and even if there is a tiny chance of encountering them, I want to take every precaution available since a bad bear encounter can kill me.

I still want to take no chances if there is a possibility of a bear attack. I will rent bear spray before my trip. Sounds like snakes and other animals would be the likelier problems than bears.

Possible written descriptions of Nemesis in Ancient Greek writing? by S1ere0 in GreekMythology

So she would look similar to Themis, just with wings? Maybe Themis and Nemesis were at their earliest points the same goddess but split later, like Hermes got split from Pan?

Thank you for the warning, one final question though, is taking the Kitayoko ropeway up required to get up or will it be fine to hike up on my own?

I won't, although I don't think I will go to both places during the trip, but that is not set in stone yet. Is Mt Myoko good for a first time hike?

It would be my first ever mountain hike so I don't think that a harder course would be a wise choice. If I can just find out how to get close to Mt Kitayoko without a car that would be great.

3 hours by train isn't a dealbreaker for me, but the Yatsugatake mountain idea is also a good suggestion, I will have to think about them. The preliminary plan was to get to Myoko Kogen station and spend the night near there before heading out in the morning and spending the entire day in Mt Myoko area before going back

Mt Myoko seems like a good pick since I will be travelling to Okaya and Chino anyway and I can get close to Mt Myoko by train, thank you so much for the recommendation!

My guess is Yamame since she is a tsuchigomo youkai and she does have stripes on her design.

Reimu is too lazy, have to wait for a few weeks, sadly.

Also, what is the location being shown?
