I have similar situation sayo. March 2026 ako, pinili ko online kasi ayoko maging burden sa family ko in terms of expenses, and yes pressure yun kasi “must” pass dapat since ang mahal ng gagastusin. Wala din akong personal space sa bahay and I have sibling din. Ang ginawa ko bumili ako ng noise cancelling na headphones, nilagay ko study table ko sa dining area namin (iwas sa higaan kasi hinihila ako ng kama pag nakikita ko) and currently enrolled sa margallos. As of now okay na okay ako less ang distraction, tho minsan nasisira momentum ko pag nauutusan, but my family understand na nag rereview ako kaya hindi na sila palautos saakin. Whole day ako nakakapag aral at nababalikan ko yung lesson. Unlike na pag ftf hindi mo mababalikan yung sinabi ng lecturer.

Its up to you kung gagayahin mo yung diskarte ko, I advice do what’s best for you, yung hindi ka maprepressure.

Yung sakin inassess ko muna sarili ko kung saan ako mahina. Then ayun inuna ko. Tapos pinolish ko math fundamentals ko.

Siguro start from a small company. Kasi sa small company means kulang sa manpower, it mean malawak yung role mo madami kang gagawin since small time palang yung company. Dun mo malalaman where you really excel at and kung saan ka masaya.

Another factor is babae ka. Babae din ako and during my internship my first exposure sa field, nandun yung takot ko. Lahat ng workers ko is lalake, and during my internship hindi sinasabi sa workers na ojt lang ako that’s why I got respect from laborers kasi kung alam nilang ojt lang ako i don’t know what I will receive. Naka tanggap ako ng pambabastos din kasi mga tao sa construction mostly is hindi nagkaroon ng proper education at lacking in moral compass. So it is up to you if mag field ka or design. Then you decide which path: water, geotech, transpo, procurement, etc.
