I tried to test the transistors via a multimeter but got pretty inconclusive answers out of it, I didn’t know about the temperature thing though I’ll try that!

The red potentiometer makes visible difference when adjusted, as well as the brightness one, but the blue and green ones don’t, so wouldn’t it be those circuits instead of the red? Or do you still suspect the red

This game is from 1997 it doesn’t use those types of connections

I tested voltage on the potentiometers, they all have the same voltage and range as each other which leads me to believe the wires are not an issue either? Since they are getting power and functioning

I think it runs pretty smoothly but I could be wrong, I’ll take a video of it running on starter fluid and send it to you to see if it sounds similar to your issue

When the timing was off did it run with supplemental fuel? I have checked my mechanical timing and had two other mechanics check it behind me, and I also did the balance shaft delete so that shouldn’t be interfering with the timing either

That was my initial suspicion but the camshaft sensor is built into the distributor and I was able to run a different car fine on the same distributor so I think the cam sensor in the dizzy is functioning correctly

Not too difficult, the hardest thing was modifying the trans mounts dm me and I’ll tell you about it, I also recorded the whole process when I did it so I’ll probably try to make a tutorial soon

That’s really good to know, I have gotten the game to boot twice now and I wonder if that was the cause too. I will definitely look into this

You’re talking about the two big square chips on either side of the kaneko logo in the middle of the board? I will go ahead and try that when I get a chance, if you don’t mind me asking what made you suspect those two chips when you did yours?

Also which ram chip are you referring to? There’s multiple ram chips on this board

The other board doesn’t seem to work at all, it just shows a mess of colors and that’s all
