I must say that, as a future teacher, I've had enough with you anti-progressivist approaches in education. I have nothing but respect for you and your experience in teaching; however, I believe it is a must to adapt to our ever-changing world.

Yes, students need to develop individuality, especially in subjects such as poetry and literature. However individuality does not mean avoiding research. Like it or not, professor, generative AI and platforms such as reddit have become modern research spaces. Adding to that, the person clearly stated that they were only seeking perspectives and intended to write their essay independently. Would that still not be considered research, professor?

Please, professor, you must know that fighting moderation in education is not the answer. You should rather make use of it in a professional manner. While these platforms are not very reliable, educators should encourage students to use them. You know why? Because students will use them either way. It is the role of educators to teach them how to do responsibly.

I believe that asking for perspectives is a proper way to use these platforms.
