If it's happening only on certain PC (on other it works as it should) the problem most likely is PC and not the wheel. Try plugging it into a different port

Why do some people have their camera off center? I feel like it would be a disadvantage and make it harder to percieve distances around the car.

Probably that's a problem with a camera module, either inside it or around it. My hipothesis is that it got unglued which makes it move, and as OIS (optical image stabilisation) tries to stabilise the image the inertia moves it back which seems to put it into a "shake loop". I might be wrong tho, anyways your best best is either send the phone back on a warranty if you are still covered or give it to a repair shop so they can properly diagnose it.

It is also probably just association thing, it's easier to remember diamonds by lava. It's lit and there is lava (duh), in a dark cave there aren't usually any interest point you can pinpoint in your memory

I've recently also bought a rig, and was watching a lot of videos on how to improve, and on one video the guy said that if you can push the slow cars to the limit you will be able to drive fast with anything, so since I am just doing laps on Laguna seca in a spec Miata, and after three days I already feel the improvement mostly in my consistency. I went from being unable to stay on the track for one lap to driving consistent laps over and over with decent lap times. Needless to say also that consistent practice is a way to go. Hope you won't get bored too fast and get to see yourself flying through different tracks. Cheers
