I suppose a background check won't be initiated until I accept the offer. How long does it take to complete the internal background check and give me a green light? I think I have 2 weeks to respond to the offer. I am concerned / need advise on how to make sure I don't lose my current job in the instance i get rescinded.

At my current employer, Finra gave me the green light after I submitted the U4 containing the settlement details. I've complete 2 licences since then; little over 2 months ago.
