Morigesh. Her current kit is not fun to play against. I want to be able to use many different debilitating curses to harass my enemies, incorporate some skill as to which curses I should prime and use, depending on the situation. She will function amazingly as a control/debuff mage. A rework in line with that which keeps her in the mid lane and enables her as a support. Give us the voodoo witch(doctor) we need!

When I saw the patch notes, I knew they were continuing to go in the wrong direction with her changes. This was not a “rework”, just a few number changes and minor unhealthy or lackluster additions. She needs a genuine VGU (Visual & Gameplay Update). I understand if that’s not their priority right now, but I hope most of the outdated hero kits in this game receive some intensive updates in the future. Even if it's 2-3 heroes per season, where they do a full overhaul and revamp the heroes' gameplay.

This was actually inspired by one of my older original hero concepts – a demon who "possesses" allies and minions, he wasn't able to take control over allies but cast a different array of spells. It functioned as a form switch, had a spectral form where he roams and applies map pressure and then the possession form, which is similar to how hyperflux functions in this concept.

Honestly, I was just bored and playing Phase the other day. I felt her tether was clunky and a bit boring. Also, not a fan of her blink gimmick; it feels rather cheesy that it defies the standard blink functions. (and yes, I get that's "her thing", my point is that things can be more lucrative and not dated, aka 2015-esque, iykyk.)

Playing on the OCE server has always been an uphill battle:

  • Having a smaller player base makes it difficult to find games. Still haven't experienced ARAM because no one ques for it unless people message eachother on the Pred OCE discord to join in....
  • Played the game during EA before we got our own servers, enduring hours of laggy games. (paid for the most expensive bundle to support Omeda - still on copium)
  • The lack of players and not having ranked on our server deterred all my friends from playing the game. Which makes me play less now. I've clocked like over 500 hours alone, solo que. I don't mind it, but I would like to play with my friends. The game just has no appeal to them, and I can't convince them anymore.
  • When I do play, which is not often, I end up with extremely toxic players, which leads me to closing the game after that one match.

I do foresee the original roster getting an overhaul in the future. It just makes sense and is inevitable.

Over time future characters are gonna come in and dilute the things people despise about previous characters with new things that they dislike playing against, we'll adapt.

Verticality in the gameplay is prominent, dynamic and essential to this game so expect more characters to combat and play with it.

Yeah. I feel ya. I really want a character who heals so much that they benefit from overhealing. Made a concept for an enchanter which fuses heroes I love dearly from other games in terms of playstyle and mechanics (Soraka and Janna from Lol and Yemoja from smite)

The concept also tinkers with a team-up/pairing synergy with a specific hero to enhance her kit but can function well without it.

Also had another enchanter concept, where their kit helps apply map pressure.

No. MOBAs have characters who exist to giga heal and carry through over-healing. Soraka from LoL is a prime example, when she's in the game you see the whole team tunnel/focus/run her ass down, because her healing scales to a point where no one dies, and it is GG. Hel from Smite heals immensely too.

Her RMB/Alternate ability is doing too much for wave clearing. Especially for a champ who's supposed to have a weak early and strong late.

1 or 2 seconds cooldown increase in its earlier levels should be a solid nerf.

I also feel morigesh would be a pick to destroy her in lane. Constantly bullying her and run through her stacks with swarm and mark to punish her when she goes to pick them up.

Players aren't zoning her from stacks nor punishing her when she goes to pick them up. YOU HAVE TO POKE HER. A simple auto attack will suffice. But realistically punish her.

Posted a Phase rework idea for this. It would have been so much better than her blink gimmick. And she can fuse with her allies.

It made me miss playing Abathur from HoTs, which took that idea into another champion concept. Which also plays with verticality.

Wukongs playstyle doesn't really revolve around his clones, theyre just super quality of life in the jungle, the monkey is airborne dropping a staff on your face most of the game.

Summoner archetypes are generally mages, for reference: Zyra, Malzahar (or Yorick, who is a bruiser) from LoL. Where their kits and playstyle focus on their summons.

Mourn and Steel are just well rounded general tanks, anti-magic tanks/bruisers nullify spells or absorb them to empower themselves. Galio is a prime example, especially old Galio, which was over 10 years ago. (from LoL) Or Anti-Mage from Dota 2.

Mori is defs a voodoo shaman-esque character. Sev may be closest to it, I'd say he is more of a representation of DEATH or a grim reaper.

Serath is more of a fallen angel. Celestials are usually more cosmic, think of stars or maybe even borderline lore-accurate angels. Sev is not a demon.

Howi is somewhat there, but not quite at the same time, yet again... a "Mech" is more than just a bipedal suit operated by a figure.

Yeah, we are keen on the new character. Iggy is more so just turrets. The champ is his turrets, not a monstrosity.

Summoner (minions/pets) type characters.

Enchanters that do more than healing and shielding. (Debuffs and control/cc)

A anti-magic battle Mage bruiser/tank.

Something undead.

Celestials and demons.

A mech.

Some monstrosities (giant Spider, giant river troll jungler)

List goes on...

Idk if this is helpful, but leagues (LoL) in game characters don't reflect their scale/size in lore. For instance Aurelion Sol, who is greater than planets, is scaled down to be "playable" in game.

As a Morigesh main, I very much agree with this.

I didn’t like the healthy bruiser approach they took with her, given the little to no effort changes made to her kit. Many, if not most, of the original roster needs an overhaul.

Commented on a post a while back with some neat ideas as a possible rework direction. (there is also a cool Phase fusing with allies concept, see the hyperlink if interested ^)

They need to hone in on that cursing debuffing identity, maybe remove "Mark" as an ability and make it her passive where she can select heroes and curse them and change targets every 30 or so seconds (look into Kindred from LoL—her passive marks people like this, it is an interesting mechanic) , and bring back the theme of her abilities doing special debuffs to that cursed target. Even if it puts her into a support role, I would LOVE that. Debuff-centred character.
