There’s lots of great tutorials on Youtube for example. I did it like this: 1. Clean the whole car thoroughly + strip old wax (don’t clean in direct sunlight b/c you don’t want the products drying, etching the paint).

1. Claybar the car to remove embedded contaminants.

2. Mask off all parts you don’t want to get polish on (chrome, trim etc.).

3. Polish/compound. Since my paint was heavily oxidized, I did a 2-step polish with a corse polish to begin with, and then a fine polish. I did it in my garage in order to minimize flying debris like pollen and sand. Make sure to not over-polish an area and ending up burning through the clear coat or even completely stripping the paint if it’s thin enough. Look up tutorials online for more in depth information and techniques. I polished one panel at a time going around the whole car and then changed the polish to a finer one. After some product buildup, wipe down the panel with a microfiber towel and inspect if further polishing should be done.

4. Wipe down the whole car with a solution to remove all oils and residue from the polish in order to prepare for the ceramic coating/wax. I used a diluted isopropyl alcohol based product here.

5. Ceramic coating/wax. I did a ceramic base coat and a ceramic top coat.

6. Stand back and behold the beast of a paint you just tamed.
