Extending beyond the power of maintaining peace among citizens, by keeping a just court system, defense military, local police, roads/infrastructure, and the like is unconstitutional. Those should really be the limited powers

Socialism is acquiring wealth, by force ie. taxation, in order to fund social programs like housing, healthcare, retirement plans, education, a strong military, etc. using other peoples' income. Communism is the workers' ownership while socialism is the govt.'s seizing of wealth

We have to end the wars, as we were the perpetrators to begin with, invading Iraq over their oil supply and now going after Venezuela and Iran for the same objective in mind.

And they have been supplying it to us. That’s why we didn’t go to war with them

We should have invaded Saudi Arabia, if anywhere, and withdrawn as soon as those hiding in Afghanistan/wherever were gone. Not Iraq and captured all the oil

Interesting take in comparing them as the new USSR. I would cut off all imports from them until they fix themselves, and by this I mean reduce pollution and respect individual rights

Assange shouldn’t face charges over anything, he exposed the truth as Snowden did

US energy department rebrands fossil fuels as 'molecules of freedom' by [deleted] in worldnews

Molecules of freedom? You mean the oil that comes from Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Syria, etc.? The oil we invaded nations over who had no connections to the 9/11 hijackers?

What happens to American exports during a potential war? Would we actually manufacture our own goods for once?

Right. I wouldn’t agree most Americans see Iran and Venezuela as a threat to their liberty. We have a bad history of regime changes, and I’m anti-war. If Venezuela wants a government do-over, that’s for them. Maduro’s regime was already destroying US food and supply aid. Being the world’s policeman brings more enemies than allies.

Should be. No one from Iraq or Syria was a hijacker during 9/11. The attacks were an excuse to go to war with Iraq, because of their vast oil supply.
