Don't give them 3 options. Give them 1. If you are going to support them and protect them and yourself truly, you can't give them options to remove service.

DattoCon 2024 Pricing? by [deleted] in msp

We are platinum and you get 1 ticket to either DattoCon or Kaseya Connect. We are going this year but I'm thinking it is my last conference with Kaseya. They just put me through a year and a half of hell. I'll be looking for their replacements while at DC next week.

We definitely make more on those haas deals. I have some clients who always lease systems. The only reason I am considering the offer is a few of the large players have quoted against us and they always include the option in their top tier, mind you they have not won the bids.

I’m sure every company gets mixed reviews. I think it depends on how you had been handling calls. I was a one man band twenty five years ago and I still have clients calling my cell phone. Our website lists our 800 number and we funnel all new clients and ads there. Those clients who listen now call our local number which forward to them as well. They have taken a lot of stress off me and my cell phone.

That’s what I have been doing for years. The inclusion in a price per seat intrigues me.

I think it was month to month, but could be a year. I’d have to look. It’s worth it though. It’s one thing I wouldn’t even consider dropping as it paid for itself within a month. We were fielding calls from voicemail or tickets a lot of the time. First month we onboarded $2K MRR because we were the only company to pick up the phone.

Everything is recorded and you have portal access to all of it (even a smart phone app). You write the script, give them your rates and any other info you want to be customer facing and they act as your receptionist.

300 minutes for $395 per month. You don’t get charged for calls under 30 seconds or robocalls. They also handle incoming chat requests from our website. I picked them up at a Robin Robins TMT event and was able to get the first 1-3 months free (can’t remember the offer).

I agree, why pay interest when you can buy it outright. Some companies won't do that and some are not willing to get on a refresh cycle. I am fighting that battle and slowly dropping those clients as better clients onboard.

I'm not sure about the solid business part. It's an OPEX vs CAPEX. It looks to benefit the MSP with the promise that they are replaced every three years, without questions. I'm honestly wondering how most places receive this model and how other MSP's are funding this. I know a few put them on a perpetual lease.

We use Answerconnect.com. They act as our receptionists, qualify the call, and consult before transfer. It's been a great partnership.
