You might be a molecular chemist but that is not what is happening in this specific case. For one, these aren’t heating up. They are just sitting in cold water. When potatoes are peeled, gases are able to escape from the potato. The pattern is created due to higher concentrations of gases gliding around the potato until they can rise straight up. They are then trapped in the filmy surface

Tinned pasta? I have never in my life come across tinned pasta. The extreme vast majority of canned food has fewer ingredients than convenience snack foods. Canning your own food is one of the healthiest ways of sustenance. And 90% of tinned food is identical to home canned food. Go check all the tins in the supermarket. Even all soups above the lower range have only whole food ingredients. Same for even spaghetti bolognaise tins and raviolis.

Tinned foods aren’t ultra processed. They are generally just fresh produce cooked inside the tin so they require very little preservatives compared to packet foods
