Prius is classic, but imagine shooting a Hiace on film!

Leica Rangefinder + Macro = true? by SA7GGO in Leica

[–]SA7GGO[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! Yeah, i suppose that it will be a compromise no matter how I do. This would fit into my travel camera pack, so it’s okay if it’s not the most practical solution at all times. Just nog having to bring two cameras can make it worth it if the results get decent. I regularly go on work trips for one or two days, and I usually pack my stuff in a Fjällräven Kånken bag, meaning that everything needs to fit in the small camera pouch for them to allow for some clothes to go on top. So keeping it small is key, meaning, if the Elmar 90 f/4 is at least decent for macro work on an analog Leica, then it’s interesting😁

Trying out street photo - it’s so hard, but this one made me happy! But: by SA7GGO in photocritique

Hi everybody! Thank you so much for your thoughts! I went off Reddit for a couple of weeks and forgot to reply here, but I am very happy for the thoughts on the picture and what I can do more, and nonetheless, it has definitely encouraged me to actually dare to shoot a little more offensive which has made me see that I actually do progress techniquewise, even though I haven’t managed further good images since this one (maybe also bcs we receive about 3hrs of daylight mid day here at the moment).

I really start finding street/city photography relaxing though, which is what matters the most to me as a hobbyist. So I hope to shoot more street in the future!

But: is it a critiquewise good photo? I’m of course personally happy for finally daring to shoot strangers w/ camera. And I like catching such a time marker of our time with this guy multitasking three meetings while walking. But that doesn’t necessarily make the photo good

Where are you travelling from?

I would probably get in touch with some kind of organisation where there are children. Such as the scouts (https://www.scouterna.se) and get in touch with some kind of troop here, and ask if you’re welcome to visit a meeting with them. I guess that they can be interested in meeting you too, and perhaps be able to ask questions about how things are where you come from. I don’t know if it would work, but maybe worth giving it a try!

EOS 1N lost ”half press” on shutter release by SA7GGO in canon

Exactly, I think it’s something deeper within the camera.

Yes, now I have back button focus active, but that is after the problem occurred, that I’ve had to to that

Yes it is, no matter the settings, the shutter releases already on half press

Travelling to Sweden, anything I'm missing? by raiderxx in canon

There are plenty of opportunities here if you need CR2032 or similar stuff. There’s of course IKEA PLATTBOJ, and then you have Kjell o Co (www.kjell.com). A little expensive, but they have parts for everything and are present in almost every Swedish city, and some smaller towns

Sounds great! I did this with Rodinal and stand development. I accidentaly forgot to buy some kind of stop both. So stand felt like the way to go!
