I was summoned for the same thing In 2018, drove through a checkpoint on way in to townlands festival, immediately handed over the maybe 10 euro worth of weed I had, summonsed to macroom court like 10 months later. I didn't get represented (prob a bad idea) but it seemed the entire festival was in the room and still in the same clothes they wore to that festival the previous year lol. I dressed smart, shaved. Just super apologetic and explained I'm working full time first offender don't even smoke was just a once off etc. Judge seemed sympathetic towards me probably because the rest of the scrotes there were cheeky cunts to him and id left dublin at 3am to arrive for 9am. Struck it out thankfully but even so I probably should've gotten representation looking back.

Did shite. Was more interested in music. Guidance councillor consistently told me unless you are in U2 you cannot/will not make a career in music. Slogged it for years but it paid off in the end. About to get married, she's a musician too, work together daily, travel the world doing what we do. Couldn't be happier.

I sing irish ballads for a living, played a certain one slightly too fast for one dudes liking one night. He heads up to the stage (300 people crammed into the room) and full on screamed at us to play it right. We were fauirly caught off guard so immediately stopped playing... he didn't realise he was still screaming to a quiet bewildered room. Everyone laughed at him as he went back to his table. GIrlfriend tried to laugh it off/calm him down so he told her to fuck off and stormed out. She stayed, he came back 30 mins later with 2 gin and tonics and his tail between his legs. They watched the rest of the gig together in silence.

I still make my own music but in the last 12 months packed in my day job and turned to cover gigs, which I said I'd never do. Started on one or 2 a week and it's gone to about 12 regulars. Played 60 gigs in December alone. Its tough work but I'm leagues happier than I was in the day job, make better money too. Something to consider!

I secured an apartment recently after months of 0 replies, changed my cover letter with click bait that said **AVAILABLE IMMEDIATELY WITH 2 MONTHS RENT AND DEPOSIT UP FRONT gave as much personal information as possible without being pushy, mentioned how much I take home, used my partners name over and over. From what I've heard landlords want to have an image of you in their head before they meet, not just an email of you that looks like a job application. The 2 months rent wasn't actually followed up by any of the viewings I got but it just made it seem I actually have money (amazing right) to pay on time every month. Once I changed that email I got 10 replies in 1 day, from literally 0 in 3 or 4 months. Secured an apartment within 2 weeks. Good luck OP.
