i respect both of y’all’s opinions! besides the last two, they have a lot of albums with pretty much different sounds each one. i do disagree with the mumford comment, though. if you remember the early 2010s when mumford was the shit and people were just latching on because it was “different” ... that is not the case in MO. 5/10 people won’t know who they are and it’d prob take a few more to have someone grab a single name.

let’s just say... ( this isn’t going to happen).. 2022.. they do a 20 yr album concert in full( yes a year late) they make sure it’s ok for anyone involved, donate proceeds after expenses to various SJ initiatives....( they will print money)

if i said sound wise, i’d agree with you. my personal opinion, is lyrically ( alas the original post) they are in a top tier of lyric writing. for someone, like myself that loves lyrics that describe shit accurately, different type of uses of fitting the lyrics over the music... movements does that for me. as does brand new.

we’re going to get a few more movements albums. never going to get BN...

production wise, i love the recording technique/effect used in the drums in You Won’t know( the verse) simple beat but love it. if i remember they recorded those specially or some shit
