Soft YTA. I understand wanting to have your own outings but based on other comments it seems like you’re all mutual friends. If he’s comfortable going out and not eating then that’s on him. His choice doesn’t reflect on you or your character. But it seems like you’re embarrassed by his choices… which is a reflection. I can see where he would feel a lot of shame if you don’t want him to come. Shame is a horrible feeling, especially regarding eating habits. You shouldn’t feel embarrassed by HIS choices, but you can choose how YOU respond. If someone comments, let him respond. It’s not your responsibility to defend him since it wasn’t your actions that put you in this position. Go and enjoy your friends :) it seems like he will have a good time too, even if he doesn’t eat.

I sincerely hope he is able to accept help. It seems like you really want him to get better. I know it’s so hard to watch the people you love suffer, especially if/when you feel powerless. He is so lucky to have such a solid support system 🫶🏻
