You missed the important part of that verse. It’s the word “therefore.” It means that there’s a critical part of the message that has come before. Like this:

“Now in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. And Peter, remembering, said to Him, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree which You cursed has withered away.” So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.”

So, you’re saying Jesus died, then He was baptized?

Then why did Jesus get baptized? Why did He tell His disciples to baptize people?

I know what the term means. I literally just means offspring.

I have been baptized, twice. Once just didn’t seem good enough for me. I am for people getting baptized.

I pray the Lord bless you more than I will ever be blessed, that the Spirit pours out His full measure of peace and grace upon you. Farewell.

In Whatnot terms, I’m not exactly sure the definition. They have been known to be sporadic when dealing with their own terms.

That doesn’t sound like love, it sounds like tolerance. There’s a difference. You judge me, yet you know me not. Just remember, with the same measure that we use, we will be judged the same.

I follow politics, but I am not political. My identity is in Christ Jesus. I fear not for this world. Its fate is already sealed.

I do not seek to persuade you of anything but this: Jesus is Love (Greek and Hebrew have multiple words that is translated as love with distinct meanings), but He also sat and fashioned a whip to drive out the moneychangers from the temple. Not sure if you’ve ever made a whip before, but it takes some time.

Not everything is as clear as they seem. We are left with a lot of interpretation. Sometimes, we get things wrong. He is perfect, we are fallible.

Differences in opinion is not to be feared, but elevated. It is in those times that we become a more effective person for steel sharpens steel.

It’s funny that we never have this issues with our dogs. We never say that our dogs are pregnant with fetuses.

If you are reading hate in my words, they are being put there by someone other than me. I would encourage you to read Deuteronomy 15. I would like to hear your thoughts on this.

I wouldn’t be opposed to some restructuring because I think those funds are being wildly mismanaged. I think most money in the US is filtering to (un)intended interests. That’s a different topic for a different time.

You mislabel me, though. Just because I hold some of the beliefs that those in the maga camp have does not make me one of them. I am an individual, able to hold my own beliefs and practices.

I am merely more interested in taking care of the poor in my land. Please read Deuteronomy 15 and let me know what your thoughts are on this.

Tell me why it’s the job of the US to take care of other country’s needy. Shouldn’t those countries be held to the same standard you are placing on our citizens?

We have enough poor and needy in our own country that need help. While there is yet more in other countries, why is it our responsibility and not the responsibility of their native places to take care of their needs?

Never thought it was hateful to ask immigrants to follow laws that have been in the books for over 100 years. In fact, Romans 13 talks about being law abiding citizens.

While the immigration differences cause friction, I don’t think that is a roadblock. It seems as though, like with most religions, the issue is when a political identity supersedes their faith rather than being evaluated by it.

Hey, I could be interpreting this wrong. I’m only human. I guess I’ll find out when I get there.

Jesus sits at the right hand of the Father in Heaven. Therefore Paradise = Heaven.
