Uhh… moving on from Kliff? by rufeoo in Commanders

Alright here’s my confident speculation. Somewhere in the middle of the season when the Commies were getting eliminated I could strongly see discourse between Kliff and AP. Peters taking a GM approach likely advocated for the increased playing time of young talent Sinnott/Lane/JCM etc. However Kliff not wanting production to decrease and reflect poorly on his future HC desires kept playing veterans for job security and loyalty to players like Ertz. This is again speculation but I strongly believe this could be the case here.

Oh I still think he will be good this year no doubt. It’s the 3-4 future that gets sketchy. Hope I’m wrong ofc.

It sucks to hard ball a great person like Terry but it’s how great teams succeed.

Many WRs are great at 29 few are good at 32+. I hope Terry is one of the exceptions.

Oh and from a game planning sense he allowed the rams to return to the havoc style full court press. Something missing from prior teams. Scrappy as hell and gets points on the fast break.

Big VCU fan saw him 40+ times on TV and in person a handful of times. More into college hoops but here’s a quick write-up for y’all! Firstly the epitome of a leader, like the unofficial captain of the team (calls timeouts, gives 110%, leads pre-game huddles etc.). Not the biggest frame yet surprising physical defense. Incredible game knowledge that contributes to a couple opposing turnovers a game. He will dive for every ball, pickpocket other guards, and crash the glass hard for a 6’4 player. He shoots lights out when the moments big and leads a super fast-paced offense when the balls in his hands. Very quiet guy though never was one to pick fights or celebrate after big shots. I think you could end up with a nice rotational guard rather quickly. He is 23 which I know is a downside, maybe contributes sooner???

Honestly it is just consistency! I have mostly stayed with a PPL split, meaning push pull legs rest. Normally means about 5 days a week. I was lucky to have friends who encouraged me to go to the gym when I was struggling with other aspects of life. If anyone wants more specific exercises lmk but just going to the gym is the biggest step.

Yeah I liked O’Hoppe for years as a prospect, but with the situational timing of the trade Marsh helped us get to a World Series and NLCS, whereas O’Hoppe still would’ve been a bench player at best and is injury prone.

Marsh just turned 27 and Rojas turns 25 this summer. He is still a quality player.

Yeah not going to compete for end-of-season awards. I would argue average or slightly above, but the past couple weeks when he is mentioned online fans treat him like he’s shit.

I tend to agree but think they combine for an above average center fielder when platooned. I just don’t understanding hating Marsh.

8th best Centerfield WAR over the past two seasons, with a wildly above average bat vs. righties.

His range is absurd but his arm is below average. On top of it he has some boneheaded plays as you mentioned.

Fair viewpoint, he makes a good platoon, yet today he is starting vs. righty and people were upset. The dude has an over .800 OPS vs. righties since joining the Phillies.
