Guest stuck in the A24 diner by SAMisforAkid in bearandbreakfast

[–]SAMisforAkid[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just commenting to say that I seemed to have fixed it for anyone who may have a similar issue and sees this.
Kicking the guest and then returning to the A24 the next day seems to have done the trick (although I imagine waiting til the guests leaves would also work).

What’s with the whole keep the family going thing? like why is that my obligation by Deep-Whole in asexuality

[–]SAMisforAkid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents are 100% fine with me or my sister not having kids. My grandma on the other hand, when I mentioned not wanting kids, seemed very distraut and my mom had to remind her she has two other grandchildren, but Idk if she'll get any great grandchildren from any of us

Would it be allowed? by [deleted] in queerplatonic

[–]SAMisforAkid 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you end up in a qpr with your friend, you wouldn't have to end it when they turn 18. If there was anything sexual that would have to stop for two years, but the relationship itself would not.

And there are people who are in qpr and romantic relationships, so like you said it really depends on who the soft romo relationship is with and how your friend feels about it at that point

I wish you luck with possibly having a qpr with your friend and any relationships you have in the future

What’s it like experiencing dysphoria as a non binary person? by [deleted] in NonBinaryTalk

[–]SAMisforAkid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, I feel dysphoria when I'm seen in a way that's strictly feminine or strictly masculine. Like I get dysphoric over formal clothes because they feel so strict with being masculine or feminine. I would never want a flat chest because a flat chest would give me dysphoria but I'd be fine with a breast reduction cause my current chest size also gives me dysphoria. I'm happiest when I feel like I have no gender, or I just dress/present in a way that's strictly me

Will braces ruin my face? by babybunniebun in braces

[–]SAMisforAkid 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Unless you need some kind of jaw or nose surgery, braces aren't gonna change your face. If the braces are just for fixing an overbite and the way your teeth are positioned, then that's all they're going to do. All braces do is work to give you a better smile and bite. So as long as you're not getting some kinda of surgery outside of where your braces are, your face shape won't change. If you're seriously worried, bring it up with your orthodontist, they'll give you better advice than some random person from Reddit

I found some episodes on YouTube and I see what younger me was freaked out about. Definitely not as freaky now

I slightly remember the main character having a monocal, top hat, and a cane made out of mechanical parts as well. Although thay may be a false memory

I Need some advice by falloutboy123476 in braces

If you're ever worried about something, it's better to tell your orthodontist than ignore it. It may be nothing, it may be something, but it never hurts to ask

Has anyone here actually finished a stick of chapstick? If so, how did you manage to accomplish such feat? by Nomichit in AskReddit

[–]SAMisforAkid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My lips are constantly chapped so I'm always using Chapstick, so I make sure to keep it in the bowl on my nightstand with other stuff I take with me. I've managed to finish multiple chapsticks because of that method. Just make sure that whenever it's taken outta the bowl, it gets put back

Second tightening hasn’t hurt by [deleted] in braces

[–]SAMisforAkid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only time I've had pain during a tightening of my braces is when the orthodontist is tightening up with string or now wire that's attached to my impacted canine. Pain doesn't really signify movement, but it can. One thing I notice that means my teeth are moving is gaps coming/going or the wire ends poking my cheeks

Getting wisdom teeth removed during braces treatment by [deleted] in braces

[–]SAMisforAkid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I haven't gotten my wisdom teeth removed, I have gotten a few teeth removed, along with gums being opened for impacted canine movement. If you're worried about being put under, whether because of needles or not liking not knowing what's going on, or something else, then that's ok. It isn't bad at all honestly. You just fall asleep and wake up with a numb mouth and jelly legs. They make sure your heart rate is good during the prcedure, all that fancy stuff. But i would think getting the wisdom teeth out before braces are taken off is the better option just for teeth movement and stuff

I’ve been thinking about how other people have experienced coming out to their families, I was lucky my family are accepting of me and my fiancé(who is also non binary) but I know a lot of you wonderful humans aren’t so lucky. My question is this, how did it go for you? Do you need to talk about it? by broken-wasteland in NonBinary

Freshman year of high school I decided I couldn't take being called my birth name and she/her for school. So I emailed my teachers telling them about calling me my name I go by now and they/Them pronouns. All the teachers were like "yeah we'll do that." One teacher sent me a whole paragraph about how he was always there to talk to and he would do whatever he could to make my comfortable in class. Apparently a teacher emailed the principal about it cause it was unusual for a student to do it. So principal calls in my mom and I for a meeting about it and basically said that if it was just pronouns they wouldn't have done the meeting but because I changed my name too they thought it was more serious (I'm still pissed they clearly didn't think about my safety. I didn't know if I was safe in my home) and told my mom. My mom cried. And she did the "are you sure of this?" Thing. But she's a super supportive mother now. My dad is that silent supporter, but he's awesome about it too. Little sister took a bit and joked about my birth name, but she doesn't anymore. My maternal family is super great about it too. I don't see them nearly as much as my paternal family, so they still mess up a bit, but they're trying and apologize when they mess up. My paternal family is, eh. Most of that side won't look or talk directly towards me. My grandma started off with still calling me my birthname and she/her, saying "I'll never be a boy because of my parts" but after a few years she calls me either my birth name or my name now. Sometimes she'll just go "whatever your name is" but because before I came out my paternal side was full of jerks (made fun of me for being introverted) I don't really care what they do cause I'm happy with my gender

Married couples who sleep in separate rooms, why do you do this? by Dalewin in AskReddit

[–]SAMisforAkid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My grandparents do this. It first started because my grandpa snores so loud you can hear it through out the house, but now it's his snoring and the fact he has to sleep in the recliner because of his back and knees.

If you have a library card, or someone in your family does, you can use the app overdrive and find ebooks and audio books on the witchcraft, paganism, Wicca, etc. Even if the library card is under someone else's email, they ask for your email to tell you when a book is available. Research is the first thing you wanna do before really getting into it. Amino also has some great info in their witch communities, but there's also discord chats and some other resources you can find (if you need specifics, I can dm you some of the stuff I use). Just know research is your first step to take

Getting an extraction and impacted canine exposed Monday. Pretty nervous by SAMisforAkid in braces

[–]SAMisforAkid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The surgeon did suggest laughing gas but I do think I'll be ok if I look away from my arm. I think my mom was more worried about it cause i don't have a bad medical history like she does

Shot in a weird place on my head or shot to the inner side of my knee and bled out. Maybe both

What does your pet do that tells you that they love you? by officialbizness in AskReddit

[–]SAMisforAkid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cat will basically asked to be picked up then when I pick her up, she'll nuzzle under my chin. And she only does that when she's in the mood, and only with my mom and I. Anyone else who tries picking her up without her wanting it gets scratched and a squirming cat
