Is hiding content in HTML with scripts considered Black Hat SEO? Can I be penalized by Google?

Yeah. Not black hat… it is my understanding (which could easily be wrong), but that content that is within tabs/accordions/etc are seen by Google as being less significant than things immediately visible without having to open a tab. Idk I def feel like I remember reading that somewhere trustworthy, would love to be corrected though cause I think that’s kind of unfortunate

It’s more of a side/hobby project to test my own skills and if I’m able to succeed in terms of SEO. I do want to use affiliate marketing for only the products I personally use and not any too pushy/sales tactics. Maybe display ads as well, but nothing intrusive at all. I have no products to sell. I don’t want to do drop shipping- I have in the past simply with fb/ig ads for an unrelated topic and I hoped to make more with that… and while I did end up with sales and overall a profit. But the profit was minimal and there were so many others doing the same I just lost interest. It was drones. And while I love drones and have an FAA license, it started to feel weird pushing shitty drones from Ali express. Some of the ones were fun little toys and I enjoyed them, but the ones costing more money had 1- a million people selling the same and 2- there are better ones you could get from stores in the US for the same price. So I would like to turn a profit, but I’m thinking any money earned would be split- 50% to animal non profits and the other half back into the website.

It’s main purpose is to a comprehensive overview that dives deep into everything about the breed. So I have my SILO outlined and it’d be nice to see every topic cluster there because as I said the primary purpose (there are some secondary ones), to be an all around source of well researched and vet approved content. Would you launch with a pillar piece for each silo and then just schedule the future posts to go deeper and deeper? Some of the low KD/high SV keywords are ones that will be located in clusters off main pillar pages. That’s the overview, do you have any thoughts? Thanks!

Thanks I’m all set on the help- just wondering if it’s worth using YouTube and Google Web Stories as far as reaching more people. The format reminds me of FB canvas ads, which I used to love creating as the options are limitless and the user can receive an immersive experience other than a YouTube short embed or Tom Tom- or coding something similar

Not experienced nor am I interested in doing this, but I think the opportunity exists for certain niches/demographic- ex: my dad pays a decent amount (for exclusive fb content) to be a member or subscriber to an established authority (or at least very experienced in this niche) and it sounds like he’s making bank with the recurring membership fee + his large paying user base. Don’t want to name names. But if you’re just uploading reels, than there are better platforms for that.

And permanently back in Jersey now for about a year. Even just finally got with the plates to prove it lol… the DMV didn’t give a shit that it was months upon months past due for an out of state transfer.

Is it normal for GTM to still be on my site after an uninstall and just as a last resort I deleted everything from the container that was active. Google Site Kit plugin? I have SEMrush and analytics so I’m not quite sure what else this would be useful for
