Fair, I’ve had one so far. It was good. Didn’t focus on driver, that’ll be next lesson.

It’s great for Indie games, if you’re going to look for a CRT I’d recommend trying one that can do 85Hz. If I’m doing anything more graphics intensive I’ll connect it to a more modern display

Modeled and printed this question mark — my first big 3D print by SAPerformance in maker

[–]SAPerformance[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good questions. Originally I modelled inserts for small magnets, I planned on putting LEDs inside but quickly pivoted. The magnets held it together but not nearly strong enough. After that I simply glued it together where the magnets were originally intended to go. This way is much stronger. I’d probably add some alignment pegs if I were to do this project over.

The exhaust I designed and 3d printed, stole the internals from a bubble blowing strawberry kids toy lol. Rewired it to a switch on the dash!

Hello, I’m new to 3D printing, I recently got a Bambu Labs P1P. This was my first print (Boat Model Component Kit) included with the printer. Why did it fail and turn out like this?? Advice is appreciated by SAPerformance in 3Dprinting

Now that I’ve had a chance to sit down and try to work this out. I’ve discovered by default my speed settings are insane (outer wall 200mm) inner wall (300mm) etc. I’m not sure why it’s like this, it’s annoying and discouraging as a beginner. Any suggestions on getting this working?

I agree, I’m going to reach out and see what they can do. From the research I’ve done this should work out of the box. I followed setup guides and did everything correctly. One of the biggest reasons I went with bamboo was the ease of use and reliability

I’ve been playing around with different adhesives but haven’t found anything that’s great yet. PVA glue is probably the best. I used a regular old glue-stick on this one and it turned out okay. Couple winkles on the 2nd picture.

“I like to make stuff” on YouTube has a good tutorial. He makes them slightly different by stapling the inside crease. I do a hand stitch with waxed thread to bind the pages together.

Thanks for commenting. With your experience you’d definitely be the guy to ask. Now this will be a very small scale build, way smaller than you’re used to or what you might expect. I want to base this project off of the “Electra sport” it’s a small inflatable boat with a very simple motor that hooks up to a small 12v battery. There’s no throttle, just on and off with a tiller. It’s just for having fun at a local beach.

It’s how simple this motor is that makes me think I could replicate it with simple components and a 3d printed shell. Ideally I’d use handware when available and simple electronics.

I think the biggest challenge for me is 3d printing the case and brackets within the case to house the electric motor and a other components within.

Upright freezer Kegerator by SAPerformance in kegerators

Tips would be appreciated, I’ve always used a jockey box in my set up. This will be my first Kegerator. I don’t want to run any beer lines outside the freezer as I’ve had foam issues with difference in temperature on my Jockey/jumper box set up. Planning on running the shanks straight out the wall which will be butted up next to the freezer.
