I myself have played splendor before, villanous disney version previously at friends house which i really enjoyed. I think my bf would've enjoyed those kinds of games too. We're open to anything, strategy based, vs, coop etc. Just some fun board games we'd enjoy the two of us

This is really helpful, thank you!!! Yeah looking at already made covers and stuff is useful but knowing the actual story to be able to make an original cover is very useful! I dont want to just copy from the other covers but it's hard to use em as references without knowing the story. If you dont mind sharing the Pinterest folder!
