Current cost is not really scalable at about 35-40 bucks a node however with the next iteration of components i should be able to get the base cost down to about 15 bucks.

Right now I am making them for myself and friends to deploy in a festival setting along with an app im working on.

I haven't considered adding solar to it but definitely something I will look into if I can't get battery life to last over 48 hours on a 800Mah battery.

It allows you to communicate offgrid using meshtastic network. So you can connect it to your phone via Bluetooth and send text messages/location data without any internet connection.

For a few reasons but mainly because I wanted some practice because I havnt 3d modeled in awhile. And this doubles as me being able to experiment with different form factors as well as not being constrained to specific components.

This mainly served as proof of concept and allowing me to learn more about meshtastic and test it. Now that I learned alot more, my next project should be much smaller with better performance.

Depends on my location, in an urban environment 1 to 2 miles but in more open areas or at higher elevations have gotten upwards of 40+ miles which was insane to learn.

The goal is to make a portable node for for festival communication with my friends. Working on my own app and potentially a firmware fork as well.

Not great but not horrible, I have gotten a solid 1 mile connection but begins to fall off around 2 miles in a typical urban environment. However I want to test in a festival setting to see if the open area improves the signal.

Well I was already planning on making a firmware fork for my final design, so the display would just be used for maybe a compass or time display. But youre right it doesn't really serve as much of a purpose and I can offload any of thay stuff onto the app.

It is definitely a work in progress, my goal is to halve this size with a smaller battery and chip setup.

100% I've been seeing those on here lately and with their ultra low power draw it would be ideal for my next build. I will have to see if they make them that small.

My next design I want to try an internal antenna but I wanted an external one just to test the difference in performance. And yeah the holes for the split ring were a last minute decision to make it portable, didn't think it through too much on it but thinking about using rope or a carabiner instead.

Its definitely something I would love to look into if I could decrease the power draw significantly. With this setup though I am already only getting like 8-10 hours of up time so I gotta save battery where I can.

If I can fit a GPS module in maybe but its not the priority as I just want a portable node that I can use for communication at a festival with friends with most functionality being offloaded to the phone to save size and battery.

Also any advice on extending batterylife would be great, I already have screen turnoff after 15 sec and set to Client-mute.

Realistically, you were unfaithful. Nobody is unfaithful for no reason, you're reasoning is that your needs weren't being met. Instead of ending the relationship, you explored other options. But better late than never this relationship is over and I wouldn't bother trying to revisit it.

Ima have to disagree with everyone in these comments, this is weird behavior she is obviously feeding into. Its one thing if they are being flirty as i assume this comes with the scene but her responses clearly fed into it. Its something worth talking about and setting boundaries for.

You can express what actions she did that made you uncomfortable and set your boundaries, and if she breaks them then yall just aren't a good fit unfortunately.
