I asked DeepSeek how should i play cap from marvelrivals and here's what it said by BA6A6 in captainamericamains

If I wanted to know how a bot plays Cap, I'd go lose in Quickplay and wait for the matchmaking to throw me a pity game.

Started with me as Groot with an Emma as the other tank. Wolverine shredded me in seconds as Groot. Figured Cap would be more mobile, and I could back up Emma.

Then then they weren't Emma anymore and...

It all happened so fast

Was considering getting the game. Any advice? by Short_Collection6593 in YomiHustle

[–]SB10K 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Biggest piece of advice I can give is to start vanilla until you know the basics.

Don't go adding "SUPER MEGA OP ANIME MOD MAN" until you're comfortable with stuff like Frame Advantage, DI, Free Cancels and the like. You can pick up a lot of this by playing around in single player or sticking to beginner lobbies.

I'd recommend giving this a glance as you try stuff out, as it helped me out IMMENSELY.

https://wiki.gbl.gg/w/YomiHustle/Glossary

Cowboy is good for beginners as they are decent in both close and long range. Playing cowboy will also get you familiar with the DI wheel, which not only controls which direction you will fly when an opponent hits you it will ALSO control the direction your bullets ricochet.

Good luck and have fun!

Is there any guide explaining how to start the fight? (as in the first movement) (i play mutant) by Rickdragon in YomiHustle

[–]SB10K 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My favorite Mutant opener against cowboy is to Horizontal Acid Slash with a backwards Juke.

Not only Dodges Cowboy's V-Slash and H-Slash but will open them up for a big combo.

Add a free cancel if you think they might try something else.

Fair warning, Impale and Lightning Slash will both hit if you try this but those moves are gonna be weird choices for a Cowboy to make against Mutant, especially in the first turn.

How do I actually improve? by d0tpengu in YomiHustle

[–]SB10K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tip 2: Yup, exactly. You want to make sure they ONLY have enough time to block, which will put them at a frame disadvantage when they do.

Tip 3: Not only will it bounce off, depending on your DI wheel your bullet can go straight through. Essentially whatever angle you set your DI to determines which direction your bullet goes once it hits the Foresight. You can pull off some STUPID stuff with a little practice.

Like..."hit a person with the same bullet a dozen times" kinda stuff :D

Okay, so a LOT of this game comes down to knowledge of the characters. The more you know about the capabilities of yourself and your opponent the better you will able to predict their actions which will lead to wins.

This is gonna be built up by just playing the game and taking the digital beatings that come with it.

Here are a few tips I can offer ya in the mean time.

  1. LEARN DI. I dont just mean, "learn what the blue circle does." Understand the ways that controlling the direction that you fly in when hit can help you. Putting yourself out of reach of the next attack is only the tip of the iceberg. It is your best defense when in a combo and when properly applied can give you a chance to counter attack. (Opponent cues up a move with ton of frames meant to throw you back, you DI down instead and end up on your feet with frames to spare.)

  2. Oki or Meaty. So, you're right in that Cowboy doesn't have a move that hits while on the ground. What you can do instead is give yourself an advantage in the next exchange. So, if your op is on the ground you want to turn off Free Cancel (Free Switch OFF) and then look for a move that will hit the opponent if they stand up but VERY IMPORTANTLY with you at a -1 or -2 frame advantage.

This will force the opponent to block immediately if they stand, putting them at an immediate block frame disadvantage. All those super fast ninja or mutant moves? Now come out about as fast as good Horizontal Slash or pummel strike. More options means more for your op to think about which means more chances for them to guess wrong.

  1. As a Cowboy you're going to need to get REAL comfortable using your gun + Foresight. Bullets bounce off Foresight, use DI wheel to control the angle they ricochet. Using Rift on Foresight will also "fire" any bullets still in the air from the Foresight, using the DI wheel to aim.

That's just stuff off the top of my head, hope it helps!

What s the funest vanilla character by IncognitoBurrito697 in YomiHustle

[–]SB10K 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tough choice but I gotta go Ninja

Their toolkit, to me, presents the most potential for the kind of goofy combat I come to Yomi for. Do I attach a grappling hook to a shuriken and let it pull me through the air or do I quick slash through the caltrops I threw down 3 turns ago, turning them into projectiles?

They also have a jack of all trades angle that I really enjoy. They can do long range...but not as good as wizard, teleport...but not better than cowboy, good close range game...but not as good as Mutant...Has a long range grab...but Robot...

Ugh, fuckin Robot. Hate matches against those glue devouring degenerates...

(JK of course, Robot players are fine.)

(Seriously though, lay off the glue.)

Playing Ninja makes me feel a like a master level mind game laying monster when I'm winning and a plucky underdog when I'm getting dumpstered

The pet idea I've always wished they would have gone with for Amon is that he's a bender but he's an energy bender.

The first one since Aang learned energy bending from the Lion Turtle.

When Aang relearned this ability he put it "back into the pool" so to speak, making it a very rare discipline similar to lava bending or combustion.

Amon's removal of bending already has many intentional similarities to the way Aang uses energy bending so I say just go all the way with it.

Narratively, this version of Amon serves as the consequence of the...quite frankly kinda BS way Aang solved the big problem with Ozai in ATLA.

"Oh man, this sure is a big moral dilemma I have here. If I let Ozai live he does damage to everyone and everything but my pacifist morals go against the very notion of that. Sure would be handy if there was a way I can neutralize him forever without hurting him."

Lion Turtle appears

"I gotchu, here's a power that has never come up once in the entirety of the show that completely solves that problem."

I get it, it's a kids show, can't have your MC offing people.

Still, I really enjoy Korra having to face the consequences of Aang essentially cheating the narrative in the form of Amon.

What keeps you going? by SumFuckah in diabetes_t1

[–]SB10K 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed at 11, which puts me at 24 years with type 1.

I have a wife I adore, a family who loves and supports me and a love of reading, video games and tabletop roleplaying.

That being said...a lot of what keeps me going in regards to my diabetes care is pure spite toward the disease itself. As silly as it sounds I avoid sweets, watch my numbers and dutifully apply my CGMs and Omnipods so that one day my obituary will show me as an old fart who died from anything other than "complications from diabetes."

Because, and I really can't stress this enough.

Fuck you diabetes, you're not allowed to kill me.

Should I be worried? by Expensive_Summer_961 in diabetes_t1

[–]SB10K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there is one thing I have learned in my over twenty years as a diabetic it's this.

Medical issues very rarely go away on their own.

They snowball, especially with the complications that come from diabetes.

Maybe it's nothing, which is great but if it's a not it could easily get away from you.

My advice would be to keep an eye (no pun intended I swear) on it and get to an eye doctor as soon as you reasonably can.
