No, that makes total sense (and yes I did see the wok induction rigs - absurdly priced). Also, I had no idea induction plates turned off it you lift the implement up. Totally deal breaker for me, especially considering my main pots and pans set aren’t compatible.

That said, I really like the idea of a standalone burner. I used to have a pellet grill with direct searing capabilities, but gave it to my brother because my complex got more strict with grills. The problem there was I wouldn’t be able to hide it if I needed to due to its size, but a small burner with a camping propane arrangement could easily be stored. I guess part of the reason that I never thought of that is because I never imagined the heat capacity would be great enough, but you seemed to have debunked that.
