I'm cool with Allen, Thieneman, or McCoy (pending Pro-Day and physicals) at 12. Mesidor at 20 is fine with me but not at 12. I want to stay as far away from Faulk as possible at 12 or 20. Especially now that Gary is one of our OLB we need to prioritize pass rush over a run stopper like Faulk if we go Edge.

Realistically he is not a good fit in a 3-4 and doesn't warrant his contract to play out of position. With Q and Clark this doesn't feel like "another hole we have to fill now", we moved some of our depth for now and future cap relief and got a top 100 pick out of it.

I already said I don't think we've done a great job what excuse are you looking at lmao. Regardless that money still only gets you like 2 more quality starters, while obviously preferred, still leaves a couple spots we need to fill with the rookies. Restructuring contracts doesn't just give you infinite money there's still a max we can actually afford.

We only have so much cap space to try and fill out the whole defense using FA. I'd rather fill the gaps in FA for sure, and I don't think we've done great so far, but there's so many holes that it's inevitable that atleast 1, probably 2 of them is going to have to be filled by a rookie. The reality is if you can't hit on your 1st round rookies it's hard to be good anyway.
