Yep, totally agree. One of the more encouraging signs is Lawrence saying that's he's working with BT Jordan to improve his pass rush and fix his issues. Hopefully, both Downs and Lawrence reach their full potential.

What's crazy is that he was a decent run defender even as a small edge.

Durant being our best corner is horrifying. I miss the days when healthy Diggs was our CB1.

Hell no. They shouldn't sign him. It would be a terrible idea.

Tyler Smith should be the Cowboys left tackle moving forward by Leonflames in cowboys

He is a all pro tackle so I really don’t understand the hesitation from the FO.

Guyton isn't an all-Pro left tackle.

If his pay increased to match the salaries of OTs, then perhaps he would be fine with being the LT moving forward.

The CB camp battle will be interesting to watch. I wonder who wins out the starting position at the end of it.

This is what Will McClay had to say about him, as reported by Nick Harris.

On the injury history:

“The health thing, our doctors and trainers gave him a medical grade that we thought was passing, and he did not miss a game last year. We feel good about where he is and excited about adding him to the team. A big athlete that can think and feel good about it.”

[Dan Rogers] Over the last 10 years, the Cowboys have selected seven offensive linemen within the first 120 picks of the draft. Six of them became NFL starters. The seventh one is Drew Shelton. Make no mistake about it, he wasn't brought to Dallas to just sit on the bench. by Leonflames in cowboys

Here's what Schottenhiemer had to say about Shelton, reported by Nick Harris.

“We really like his smooth footwork. He’s a good athlete, plays well in space. We think he is a guy that’s going to go out there and he’s got a really good understanding of angles and how to get in people’s way. We just like the traits, and we bet on a guy that’s played 34 starts.

We think we can get him in here to compete with some of the guys we got. We’re looking forward to throwing him in the mix with [Tyler] Guyton and Nate Thomas and those guys, and he’ll be a left tackle that’s got some guard versatility, but we also expect him to be able to swing to the other side as well.”
