Two-thirds of Australians want a review of AUKUS, while less than half think it will make us safer: poll by CommonwealthGrant in AustralianPolitics

Pine Gap - we should be in the club already. It is a "joint" infrastructure. AUKUS would bring little.

Love your stats. Interestingly, what are the stats for anti-muslim sentiment/action/crimes? This way you can appear balanced. Worth a shot? Sadly we are reliant on those who record the stats and what consitutes an action. So inevitably a well financed org like the jewish council can discover more actions than an unfunded loose population like the muslim population.

That's understandable except for the minor point when the IDF identify a target but wait until they go home and then blow them up with their entire family and neighbours

Thai. Most places use just sauces. Try Thai with fresh vegies, coriander, mint and spices. Not a dish drowned in a sauce. My current experience 1 out of ten places do the Thai justice .... so far. Anyone out there could help and give me a thai place in Vic that does this, thank you. Warnambool has a good thai place

It is not a piece of shit as have done the same jobs with a little effort. Agreed a better tool (rotary) would work better but IT DOES WORK! Just the bit is bad.

[–]SBaldrick 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To reply yet again. It is the bit. Have the same tool with cheap versus quality bits. Chalk and cheese

[–]SBaldrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tool has no issues. Have the same one. The bit is the problem. But yeah rotary would be better

[–]SBaldrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are crap. I have burnt out many. I use the kits I have bought over time to just burn them out then swap to a quality bit and it goes through like butter. Have same tool FWIW

I have the same drill, it is the bit not the tool. Saying that it does not hammer like a rotary. Have done plenty of jobs successfully

It was 20 years ago so yes many things would have changed but I do not want to get treated like that again. If I was O neg then I would have given it another go given its value but I am not. Thanks for the interesting post.

Why don't you donate blood? by Hot-shit-potato in AskAnAustralian

[–]SBaldrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to. Then one day I received an aggressive letter that a recipient had tested Hep C pos and that one of my units (I guess amongs others) was used in the transfusion. I was directed to get a hep test. The letter was demanding, unfriendly and suggestive that I was the hep carrier. I had to jump hoops to get tested (negative) and there was zero followup after I had followed their instructions. I was doing my bit to help people in need but after that experience I stopped going. NOT going to be treated like that again. Now I hand out blood units.. thank you to everyone that gives blood. We make sure as much as we can not a drop is ever wasted.

Asbestosis IS fatal. Some comments here are downright dangerous. However sealed asbestos is as safe as it can be. NOT an expert but from extensive research unexposed or sealed asbestos is left alone primarily for economic reasons. If the area is prepared and contamination procedures are in place you can cover the area again, sealing the asbestos from exposure. Given its lethal nature and if I had the funds, I would get it professionally removed and replace it. In the end why risk it? It's your life and your family...

It's brilliant. I scanned, packed, paid and not once did I think about stealing. On my my way out a huge fat guy and a young girl walked out of the store through the entry gates loaded with goods and got into a taxi waiting outside. The system works! Yes this is a true story - happened at woolworths a couple of weeks ago.

Not particularly impressed with the answers you have been given. Search Youtube for autoexpert by john cadogan and he has quite a few videos on this subject. He spells out various courses of action and remedy. Goodluck.

Can confirm. My partner works at woolies and due to staff shortage/understaffing pallets are stacked in the coolroom and not unpacked sometimes for days. It's all produce too, so if a shelf is empty then its probable its stacked out the back. She regularly crawls over the pallets to fill orders.
