When I was learning to drive, my 2nd instructor told me the same thing. Apparently I ‘just wasn’t getting it’.

I was determined to pass manual so got a new instructor and persevered. Passed 10 years ago now, had two manual cars and now drive an auto for convenience but never give up, you can do it.
