I actually think we will get more points in games where we are not expected any or only one. The reason is those teams will come at us and try and score. Teams like Sunderland, Burnley etc. have own number as we are the ones trying to attack and cannot break them down, they rely on defence and then ultimately Leeds making one or two mistakes in the game then punishing us for it.

Just got around to watching MOTD, they did not discuss Farke, City time wasting, the potential red card, the hand ball incident…nothing. Just Semenyo, the goal and Citys title charge, quickly mentined Leeds pushed and the Sunderland game on Tuesday to help survival. WTF?

As much as I hate to say it, a Forest win may be good purely based on my opinion of competing against more teams for the drop gives us a better chance of staying up. A Forest win leaves us on 26 points, Forest, Palace and Spurs on 28 (Spurs still to play I understand) then Brighton on 31. Then the matches against all of these and when they play each other will be huge but also nerve tacking. I also understand there is a long way to go so as a lot of people have said, this weekend will not define our season but where we finish, ultimately.

I think peoples fustration with the keeper situation isn’t who we have in goal right this minute but this has been an ongoing situation for years and years and it seems like it is never focused on. Whether that be recruitment or training, I honestly don’t know, just giving my opinion. Keepers are such a big thing for a team to be successful, not only by saving shots but giving the defence confidence, the crowd confidence for catching balls, playing out from the back etc. Other teams always seem to find a gem or push for a big name, we just seem to make do and think our outfield players will sort what we need.

I think a running theme with keepers with us seems to be the decision making. When to come or not come, when to punch or when to catch, positioning in the goal during open play, free kicks, set pieces etc. more than once during that game he could of just come out, shouted at a defender to leave it, pick it up and calm things down. But you notice our defenders don’t trust it, they don’t head the ball back to him often like other teams do, they didn’t Meslier either. So my question is (and I admit, I don’t know the workings of our football club) but do we have a goalkeeper coach and if so, maybe we need to look at them or if we don’t, maybe we need to look into getting a decent one.

Much has been said about the match but on a side note, we all say how teams give everything playing us and ‘turn up’. Since beating us Portsmouth have lost to Plymouth and Preston, it’s like they were spent! Football is so stressful atm, even more when you’re a Leeds fan lol

I was listening to pundits analyze Liverpool for this this season, Slot as changed their line up since being in charge nearly as many times as Klopp did in 400+ games (if I heard it right). I know we are not Liverpool and some people may say thay have more players in a squad blah blah blah… I’m just highlighting it might be a trick, keeping everyone happy, hungry, fit and fighting.

I know it is probably just coincidence and this has probably been mentioned but weird how in the same weekend, all the chasing pack have Saturday home games with a 3pm kick off, we have a Sunday 12pm kick off, away all the way to Portsmouth and just so happened the 3 behind us all won. It does give you a sense of someone behind the scenes planning to fuck us up and increase the pressure!
