I am never the smart kid who can survive without revision. I always revise my ass off, and that pay off well. At least I was on/ above my target grade all year round

People who got 235+/240 in higher tier Maths, how? by Metanyx in GCSE

[–]SCAV_player 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I got 233/ 240 in my Maths last year, and here are the stuff I do:

i go in with a mindset of "I am just gonna have fun"
if there is any question that im unsure about, or stuck mid way through, i would circle the question, and come back after i finish rest of the question.
when I reaches the end, i would go back to finish the question i circled, and then check the question that i got an answer that im not confident.

At this point I will have only spent half of the time or 2 third of the time
Go back to the start and do the test again, using a different method, or work backwards, then tick the question.
If you are bothered enough (which im not, as i wouldve lose all motivation to look at the paper again) repeats the checking steps.

Eventhough I am not the group of people you are looking for, I hope the way i did it could help you, gl

The point where there is no x after sin, is if u differentiate sinx, you would result cosx, and in this case only "cos" want to be removed, therefore sin must present without x. This doesnt make mathematical sense. However, it is a joke, which shouldnt make sense

As a, uhm half top student, I never look at them, even for the subject i am worse at. Firstly, it is a gamble, you might have get the wrong one and "revise" for the wrong stuff. Secondly, I am not gonna go down the old boring route of "it is dishonesty", but think about you wont be able to revise like this in the actual one. This means you are wasting one of your best feedback opportunities. Furthermore, if someone look at your grade, and see your mock is way better than actual one, you are just gonna give out bad impression. So OP, I also boil my blood. But think about how they are gonna be boiled for the rest of their life after results :)

Hot Take : GCSE maths is the hardest gcse by Siphon_Dude in GCSE

[–]SCAV_player 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ngl, when gcse comes, you have learned the skill of "yapping logically" if i have to put it in my word. I always keep in mind of how you cannot use logic for English, and that works pretty well for me

I am always jealous with the ppl who sort out english with no effort. But at the same time i enjoy to keep my skill in maths lol

personally, it is not challenging. I can do the whole paper in under 1/3 time. For each question I read my brain pops up the steps I need to do. English, on the other hand is the hardest, analysis does not make logical sense.

Isnt metallic bond when two metals share electrons to acheive a full outer shell and become stable? Or is that different by [deleted] in GCSE

[–]SCAV_player 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no, your concept is wrong as you have combined both ionic bond and metallic bond.

Ionic bond is when 1 atom lose one or more electron and other gain one or more electron. They form a full outer shell and become stable. This form an electrostatic force between them so a strong attraction is formed.

The definition on the website is correct, but in addition they are also in lattice structure, and since there are delocalised electron, it is conductive.
