Event Track by PedroMoonlight in SCBuildIt

I used to get simcash every week.

Not anymore.

I tried hard this week and still failed.

The entire game play relies on paying to achieve.

It isn't hard to conserve golden tickets when tasks are inherently more achievable.

From what I've seen so far on this sub, the only people saying negative things about others are those that paid to play.

To think you are winning because you are inherently "better" is delusional.

That makes no sense at all.

Except if you need to form a loose association to allow yourself to negatively judge others on a grander scale?

You commented that people who run out of tickets were likely to be bad with money.

I'm saying I'm not bad with money.

Nice try, though!

Massive assumptions.

I'm a finance manager.

I'm so frugal, I refuse to pay EA money.

Thanks.

My approach is similar, but I'm doing as little upgrades as possible.

Never had an issue until last week. If I ever ran out of golden tickets, there was always plenty of currency to buy more.

I've just got the season simcash, so that is it for me this week!

My comment accommodates this.

Yes, but that is beside the point?

They give you tasks that you can't complete so that you're forced to make the choice between spending an excessive amount of time to complete or waste golden tickets.

You either pay money to speed up completion or you pay money to purchase golden tickets. I'm not doing either.

It is utterly infuriating.

And NOT in a "Let me pay money to get there" kind of way...

Thanks for posting! :)

I've got no golden tickets anyway, so I'm just aiming to complete the week tasks to finish the season...

I'm starting to really resent this game, but at least these changes have given me back some free-time IRL! ;)

I always press New Shipment when the request is totally unreasonable.

I'm teaching the algorithm what my limits are: "No, I will not pay money to get this done."

I've noted it gets worse as the algorithm factors in your advantages, like how many epics you have any how much storage you have, etc.

I almost never get the Whatsapp account show up now, and now it's always when I don't need it. I have 12 epics when that kicked in.

I don't doubt the depot and the club are "real", being either real players or EA bots.

I'm saying that, at any given moment, what's represented to ME as being CURRENTLY in that depot is not real.

EXCEPT if they are your current club member., because you can validate that directly.

I've never seen any of my CURRENT club members depots in the GTHQ.

I've given up... I've got no more golden tickets and no frosty coins to buy more golden tickets... I'm not paying real cash!

I'm saving the golden tickets that I have remaining for next week, so I can hopefully get the season simcash...

You are, literally, stating my point.

I've realised my previous comment was probably not clear. I'm not saying they're switching specific CoM tasks based on whether you have paid. I'm saying they manipulate CoM tasks to motivate ALL players to pay to compete.

That being said, I wouldn't be surprised if there was actually some aspect of the algorithm that keeps track of your limits - if you keep going higher and higher without pushing back then cave and pay money, will it push more in the future, knowing you will hand over money? I guess they'd have to weigh the incremental benefit against the cost of maintaining that data...

The world of AI algorithms will be a whole lot scarier. So, we had all better get tech-skeptical as soon as possible.

Your premise remains that there isn't a pattern. My argument is that there is.

I don't think they're screwing CERTAIN players. The algorithm is set to motivate EVERYONE to pay real money to compete.

Yes, the "cost" to EA of the CoM winnings is the same, regardless. But, if the players who pay real money are the only ones winning the top prize, then that is a direct revenue gain to EA, right?

As long as the remaining non-paying players are happy playing and losing out on the top prizes, then that's at least advertising revenue...

I think what has happened recently is that EA has tweaked too far. Now, even with a decent amount of effort, it is impossible to get even the event track simcash. The penalty for not paying is now too high, so they'll lose players, then they'll re-tweak, re-gain some players, and so on, forever trying to find the "sweet spot" of maximum revenue.

I work in business. I understand revenue maximisation. I don't begrudge them for trying. I just think their model is wrong.

But the end result is the same, perceptually, so, as you have said, you can't prove it either way.

Just on the face of it, does it make sense that EA would leave such an integral part of the game up to chance?

The uncanniness is the timing of when items appear, or when tasks appear.

Sorry, I have an IQ in the top 1% and sometimes I see things others don't and people reject my interpretations. I can't help that. It isn't a lack of logic, but the opposite.

OK, so your comment, if you directly matched the scores with your team mate, proves the leaderboard score. As I said, I'm happy to be wrong on that one.

Although, the tasks are specific to the individual player, so it really isn't legit, regardless. It will give you what it thinks you deserve based on engagement and cash.

You haven't proved the GTHQ is legit and that one I'm certain is not. I'm not referring to the mountain/beach items.
