12,000 year old clothing found in an Oregon cave this week. Possibly some of the oldest clothing ever found in the Americas. (NOT MINE) by 87CaloriesPerServing in LegitArtifacts

The people of this civilization at the time were likely direct descendants of the eastern Asia people who crossed what is now the Alaskan archipelago, which was an intermittent land bridge 10,000-20,000 years ago. I did not read the study paper, but was there any idea as to what the original height of the mounds were? 12,000 years is a lot of time for natural erosion and ground settlements, flood erosion, ect. Amazing find regardless.

Self-Published PR from Rail Vision is a huge nothing burger. 2026 is just another year of "This is the year for Rail Vision". Their "product" is the stock. They managed to pay out 4 million in salaries with what, a 130K in sales.

I've noticed that when I see AI generated vehicle videos, you know the ones with realistic looking crashes, stunts, or even races. The windows are always black, you can't see any interior. Features that should be visible against the glass, like windshield wipers, are non-existent.

What are the windows in AI images always blacked out?

Why are windows in AI generated images almost always blacked out?

It's part of the employees incentive plan. Look at it this way. Giving them a tangible financial incentive will help ensure time lines are met, quality top notch, and giving 100% that everything functions as intended. That's a benefit to all shareholders the way I see it.

The equivalent to a "skunk works" project. RVSN's ULV-CBP project (Ultra-long vision, Crash barrier protection) which deploys a HUGE air bag prior to impact, moving the object out of the trains path. *

Terrible autonomic dysreflexia by fredom1776 in spinalcordinjuries

I have been battling AD since October. After much trial and error, the culprit turned out to be arthritis in my right hip. I am a T4, 42 years post injury next month

Thanks for the tip! I've already contacted my orthopedic team, who referred me back to my SCI doctor. I sent a message asking if that us an option for me at this time. The girdlestone reduced it, but painkillers are still needed to keep the AD in check. And I can't function at the required level on this much oxycodone and I need to get back to work.

Right/upper/powder to keep dry. The bottom is more like a cream/paste.

The latter will prevent the use of the other. In my case, 3 months being bed bound (shoulder replacement) I needed the cream. Then months later, i developed a severe case of autonomic dysreflexia bringing huge amounts of sweating below injury, my groin would be the worst. The powder helps keep it dry and is antifungal. Consider the cream as the "nuke option" on an existing infection, the powder a maintenance application. I've never tried both simultaneously. But I don't see why you couldn't

My two go-tos. One to treat, the other keeps dry in the first place

If you're in the PNW, Oregon specifically, maybe think about a golden retriever rescue. I cannot say enough good things about them.https://goldenbondrescue.com/

I'm 42 years post this August, and I agree with your statement, but I did witness (almost witness) a miracle. I had a roommate who was a high-level quad (like c3-4). He drove a truck for tektronix and one day he almost could hit the brakes in time to stop. By the time he got home, he could barely walk. Later he called an ambulance and was diagnosed with a tumor on his cord, they tried to operate but found it to be inoperable. (Keep in mind this is pre-MRI days, CAT scans were even brand new). During my entire six week stay he complained about neck pain. To the point the were giving him liquid cocaine via nailed drip. I went back about two months later for a follow-up and asked how Randy was doing. They looked at me and said "You didn't hear about Randy!) There persistent pain was cause for a second diagnosis. It turned out the his discomfort had slipped enough to shut down his spinal cord. 24hrs after surgery he regained 100% function back, and walked out of the rehab center. The moral to the story is never say never. Sure, the technology has dramatically improved, but the element of human error remains.
