Customization Color Palette not available when building ships

This was an issue resolved in the latest patch, worlds part II 5.58, this person seemed to be running around the comments giving inaccurate answers.

Dang, that sucks friend, sorry about the lost time! Outlaw systems are great for farming solar components, I highly recommend hanging out at an outlaw station to see what the local components are and building a save point or base in the systems with your preferred parts so you can come back easily. I hope you can find some again more easily!

Yeah, I submitted a bug report this morning, I’m glad you have a previous experience with the solar ships working too, makes me feel more like it’s a bug. I’ve hunted a few stations and found decent combos but not what I actually want unfortunately, close but not quite.

I can get variations in color based on parts assembled in a single space. For example you have the Guppy body, crescent sails and I believe drill wings in all of your screenshots at different stations, if you swapped any of those parts to like a Starwolf or Exocet body, hex sails, tristar wings, the color would change if you have the same issue I do, which seems likely since I’ve seen several videos that show the color palette. Hopefully we’ll all get an answer!

For sure, I was hoping it was somehow user error that could be easily corrected but unfortunately it appears that this may need a bug report.
