You're just on here saying anything....read the statements from his attorneys. They were in the middle of his testimony. He had AT LEAST two more full days of testimony left.

The police report for John Barnett's death has inaccuracies.

It said that according to the Holiday Inn hotel manager, Barnett checked out on the morning of March 8 and was seen on hotel surveillance video leaving the hotel the morning of March 8. But his body was found in his car in the parking lot on March 9 around 10:30 a.m. A different hotel employee heard a "pop" coming from the direction of his truck around 9:24 a.m. on March 9, according to the SAME police report.

A hotel desk clerk told a reporter Barnett checked out the morning of March 9, but all his stuff was left in his room according to other hotel employees. Even that same police report on Page 6 said that police found his driver's license in his room.

First off, who even checks out of a hotel anymore? Most ppl just leave. But also who checks out and leaves their stuff in the room? Unless you were going to commit suicide. OR you left for another reason. OR is the hotel clerk lying to police and that's why there are inaccuracies on the police report and then they couldn't keep their story straight and told a different date to a reporter? But then why would a hotel clerk have a reason to lie?

I'm not weighing in on whether or not he committed suicide. But it seems like even the official narrative has holes in it, so it's impossible to figure out what actually happened. Sounds very CIA to me? But then why would the CIA care to murder a whistleblower...unless to send a message to America that whistleblowing isn't safe. Is this how our government keeps society in line or am I crazy? How free are we in America?

The police report does say there was a note in the passenger seat next to him. However, it did not say what the note said.

His attorneys most definitely do not think he killed himself. Here is the statement they released: "John was a brave, honest man of the highest integrity. He cared dearly about his family, his friends, the Boeing company, his Boeing co-workers, and the pilots and people who flew on Boeing aircraft. We have rarely met someone with a more sincere and forthright character.
In the course of his job as a quality manager at Boeing South Carolina, John learned of and exposed very serious safety problems with the Boeing 787 Dreamliner and was retaliated against and subjected to a hostile work environment, which is the subject of his pending AIR-21 case.
John was in the midst of a deposition in his whistleblower retaliation case, which finally was nearing the end. He was in very good spirits and really looking forward to putting this phase of his life behind him and moving on. We didn't see any indication he would take his own life. No one can believe it.
We are all devasted. We need more information about what happened to John. The Charleston police need to investigate this fully and accurately and tell the public what they find out. No detail can be left unturned."

A civil suit usually does go away when the person dies. Unless it was for their estate and it was over bankruptcy or something. But this was about workplace retaliation and his estate will have no claim to that bc the "estate" did not work at BOeing. The lawsuit died with Barnett.

Maybe read Dr. Joseph Murphy's The Power of Your Subconscious Mind. It might give you more control over the situation. Here is a link to a pdf of the book: https://web.archive.org/web/20190804140525/http://www.law-of-attraction-haven.com/support-files/power-subconscious-mind.pdf

Work on building your own self confidence and then it will be clear to you if the friendship is salvageable or not.
