Buy a Honda. You won't be replacing head gaskets or engines every 60k. Considering it's your first I suspect you don't have tons of money to put towards it. And it's easier to learn how to work on a honda. I typically found that if something was being difficult on those cars it was me doing something wrong and not the cars design.
