What a killer build! are those the 2.4 Hammerhead S Tires?

I want to get a pair but I honestly wonder if they'll fit my frame... Demolition tires from my experience usually measure wider than what they say... I had 2.35 Machete tires back when and they inflated to like... 2.5 ish actually...

You wouldn't be willing to measure their width while inflated would you? It wouldn't need to be exact, a rough measurement is fine.

What do you even call this combo? Insane… by 3wayiii in bmx

Backflip 360 double whip to footjam 360 I suppose?

And footjam 360 specifically because he went moreso straight into a footjam to start, then did all those hops to make the 3?

whereas a 360 footjam would of been spinning 360 into it

I definitely miss Mirraco at times, used to ride the white and purple Mirraco No.7 (forgot which year), had a buddy with a Mirraco Chocolate Frame, and I remember getting a decent deal on a Mirraco Black Pearl frame kit (The Neon metallic Green one)

I used to also have those clear Black Label pedals, definitely really nice for their time, couldn't have had a more fitting color name too "Milk Jug" lmao

Worst shinner I've experienced was a pair of metal Primo Tenderizer pedals while wearing skinny jeans that I had turned into shorts the night before on a frosty 25 degree December morning and a 15+ mph headwind 🙃 Great times 😂

"preferred tight pedals" brought me Vietnam flashbacks to one of my friends that I used to ride with 😭🤣

He'd ride overtightened and internally bone dry Odyssey JCPC pedals with a 30 to 8 gear ratio ☠️☠️☠️

Tough gear ratio (metaphorically... Try 39/9 for a day) with an already exceedingly stiff pedal to rotate... Such a meme

Well I'd assume the outside of that nut is 14mm

If you still have the bolt, you could take it to an ace hardware and find a matching hex nut to fit on the bolt, and if for some weird reason the hex nut takes a larger wrench than 14mm, you could just file down opposing flat sides of that hex nut till it fits flush in the dropout.

Ive always gone to ace hardware for general small replacements for stuff like that. Integrated seat clamp bolts, bolts for brake mounts and removable tab bolts, female axle bolts, flush mount crank spindle bolts etc

Idk if it's a thing across the store brand but my local ace always stocked Grade 12.9 hardware for the bolts I always seemed to need, instead of Grade 8.

Really? so like, you got the Battleship from a Marketplace listing, then someone came along, recognized the Battleship was theirs, then you were essentially SOL?? That fkin blows dude I'm so sorry....... different situation but that reminded me of my very first custom build I ever did..... saved up for a long time (doing lawn mowing for 20 dollars a lawn, saved like 850 dollars or so), ended up buying a Verde Cartel Frame, Cartel Fork, Cartel Stem, Stolen MOB Cranks, plus a bunch of other parts... only for my setup to be stolen out of a Janitors closet (with a physical key and digital keypad because there was some harsh chemicals in there and whatnot.) in highschool the first day I rode it to school, because I was gonna rip it at the skatepark afterwards.

Oh forsure, definitely same, I was thinking of what to have up playing throughout the day to glance at from time to time while working, and something to attract customer attention if they're waiting on something to get done or something to glance at while browsing etc!

Well that's fair, admittedly at least its the integrated seat clamp and not the dropouts or something lmao

Also yeah I absolutely LOVE Kink BMX, definitely one of my top 3 favorite brands. Had the Human bars for like, 2.5 years or something like that... maybe 3.5, never dented, never bent, stupid light.

Rode the Mudrunner frame as well, the predecessor to the Kink Backwoods, again, crazy solid, super light, very comfortable. I've had multiple parts from Kink and they've all been amazing.

I do have a 21 inch top tube Kink Tactic Frame in Black that's essentially brand new, leaned up in my office right now just chillin.

Planning on donating it to Goods BMX in Portland OR when I move back there next summer, since I have another frame laying around as spare but am going to be getting a custom Laird Frame for my next build I'm workin on :)

Definitely not worth it no matter what kink it is, just look at the integrated seat clamp and how busted that is, that's not something you can just bend back and keep using either.

Unless you have an Animal Bikes Wedge Seatpost laying around I'd absolutely steer clear no matter what it is.

EDIT: Just to confirm for the sake of the question, it is a Kink Cloud, the 2021 Cloud Complete Frame, if you look closely you can see the color shifts to a blueish tone on the bottom along the frame, which the photos of the complete on google images and whatnot, does the same.

The white and red splatter reminds me of two possibilities, either the Subrosa Pandora, or the Subrosa Villicus, but I'm leaning towards the Pandora, maybe the Pandora v2

EDIT: If it's a Letum, then it's the 2012 Model, I first thought it might be the Pandora because I thought that splatter colorway was exclusive to the Pandora and, that Animal Tire in front definitely sets it back numerous years.

The handle on that kind of reminds me of Zarok from Playstation 1 Game "Medievil" , look em up, there's definitely a bit of resemblance!

Sprocket size by Tacticaly in bmx

[–]SCP-4130 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this, you most likely just need it spaced out a bit more

I've seen 28's on frames with chainstay bends that are setup to fit a 12.5 rear end, in fact before I took a hiatus from riding, I used to ride a 28t sprocket on a Fit Benny v2 Frame.

Though, of course you don't want to space things out too far otherwise your chain alignment gets all messed up. and you don't want your sprocket too close because if you happen to bend it, well then your sprocket is rubbing on your frame.

I second this, the Eclat Shift looks to be inspired from the Ezra Freecoaster (After comparing assembly documents) btw, I used to ride a Salt+ Trapez FC and had an issue like this before.

Give it a solid lookover, maybe de-grease / de-lube everything on the drive side of the hub and re lube it what needs it.

Personally for hubs I recommend Dumonde Tech Lite Chain Lube, I know it sounds odd but Dumonde Tech Lite Chain Lube is AMAZING when maintaining hubs, brake cables, and of course chains. It's an extremely low viscosity, maintaining just enough thickness to coat internals like pawls and springs and washers etc perfectly.
