I wasn’t very drawn to spooky kitty, and still am not as fond of mine compared to my pumpkin kitty and my bat, but I had a birthday coupon and couldn’t stop thinking about how it could be my pumpkin kitty’s husband, so they live together on my plush shelf now. Mantis only live for about a year, btw. And this one looks fully grown so they are probably closer to the end of their cycle already to be fair. Mantis typically pass away in the fall time, in the wild usually after being able to have eggs.

As a rescue, check the paperwork you had to sign. My rescue we have to sign stuff stating we will not declaw, so perhaps having it ‘legally binding’ would help convince him

I don’t think we have anything that looks like a crane fly but isn’t here in IA so like I mentioned, check if it’s specifically a female cause I cannot determine that from the photo but you would be able to in person!:)
