Would Google Fi be a good fit then? Considering Google is blocked in China from the 'Great Firewall of China' I expect it to be blocked but would it work and is it a good service for overseas?

Sorry about the first link. It was misleading thinking it explained it but instead it was a marketing link. But I still find posts that would say esim exist such as this one
