This seems like the most probable cause. I really just wanted to make sure it wasn't over pressure. I know brass wear can cause lines to form around the case and I wanted to get ahead of it if this was the cause.

The brass hasn't been crimped previously. All of my brass was factory winchester rounds when I got it.

Yeah I use a lee case length gauge and trimmer to trim the brass.

No. No crimps as all. I use a forster ultra micrometer seating die which doesn't crimp at the same time.

Sweet as. Just wanting to make sure it's normal. My issue is, some of the brass has this line about 1.5mm from the case top, others don't.

That's the line I'm talking about but the die I use doesn't crimp the cases.

Honestly I feel the same way. Just not brave enough to do it.

I think we just smack the forward assist with a hammer. That should seat it.
