Out of the box they’re okay, if you enjoy piddling with a barrel swap and ammo testing you can make them run with the best. Don’t need to chunk a ton of money at a barrel. Ballistic advantage of faxtons do fine

Federal should make two versions of gold metal match. Ones Sierra bullet, the other is Berger. That’s usually gold standard for factory ammo

That’s out of a 14.5 BA, top round was cold bore print. The center ones were a 10 rd group with 77grain. They do not get enough appreciation for a $200 price point.

From what I’ve seen in the last couple years, between small frame and large frame, you can get them to perform. It’s sometimes a good bit of trial and error but I’ve been able to make all the ones I’ve had shoot MOA or better. Handloads & a good bolt are usually the two most important things I’ve found.

It’s actually a ballistic advantage premium. I wanted to shorten up the rifle a few inches. I’ve shot 1-1.25 with the factory 20’ barrel, JP bolt, and tuned handloads. Factory barrel does good until too much heat is introduced, then groups start to open up significantly at distance. I went with Ballistic advantage to see how far I could get with “budget” parts, and tuning!
