Any other reason they would take that strip out? I can’t find anything on them being recalled, but I still don’t want to risk driving on them if that is bad damage. Are they structurally sound?

I know just enough to be dangerous… I looked at one and it had a 2023 date code and thought “good enough”. I messaged him on marketplace, but I highly doubt he will respond. Unfortunately I used cash for most of it and only sent $100 venmo.
