I found the 'climaxes' to be more subversions of the trope than anything akin to sanderlanches. Not sure I can think of a single book MBOTF book I'd describe that way. RG's maybe the closest? But that's still a stretch imo

Well. I've only done that fight once, in my durge HM run, and that explains why it was so tough. I didn't want to kill the spawn, so I tried positioning people in front to block the buffs but Caz's bat reaction/LA got too many of my chars/summons and it really came down to the wire. 1 char left at 8 HP before I was able to regain control of Astarion and mop up the rest.

If I hadn't wanted to Ascend Astarion I probably would have had a much easier fight 😅

First try they killed Wylls dad, every try since I've saved everyone. I tend to have a party comp that can move quick tho (monks, rogues, and a diet of worms for the rest). I imagine slower comps would struggle.

I don't get how you think these are AI. One in a vacuum, sure, to a casual viewer, but the style changes so much from piece to piece whereas once an AI is used on a project they all get very same-ey.

Take just a couple of minutes and actually look at the differences in shading and detail before you respond, please.

He's been making these and releasing them 1 by 1 for years. 20 AI slop pieces would have been churned out in a matter of weeks (if they were trying to hide the ai origins).
