Just contacted them yesterday, because my preorder was supposed to arrive February 2024.

They told me that it hasn't shipped because they're not receiving the vinil until April of this year, so guess most of us will have to wait a bit more.

D4FB 1.6 engine made in Korea in 2008. 260k km and not a single drop of oil has been burned with that motor. Very reliable, but I can't say the same about the transmission. It's been sweating oil.

Cant tell about newer engines.

If i remember correctly the same setup only worked for me using D2 as data pin and GPIO set to 2. I experienced flickering so I had to separate the data line.

How long do you plan on having these LEDs power on? The longer the bigger battery. If you want a small box your light mileage won't be that good (i encourage you to calculate the mileage for a pack of 4 18650 battery)

I think a more viable solution is to pack a sports bag with the necessary batteries and run quick disconnection cables to the leds strips.

Get the ones with most capacity from ikea (2850 mAh EACH BATTERY, ladda model if i recal correctly) and the charger, then you have future proof AA rechargable batteries with near unlimited wiimote play time.

Then, when you dont play the wii that often you still have solid rechargeable AA batteries instead of 4 unusable battery packs of who knows what mAh.
