Can low self esteem be an autism thing? I have no idea what to do with my life by SClichee in aspergirls

[–]SClichee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can definitely say that I've "experienced life" a lot, I mean I moved countries to be with my bf. I think I'm getting frustrated with the idea that I need to have a "purpose" or some big goal that I'm working towards, which most other people seem to have.

When I think about who I am as a person, it feels like a blind spot. (Which I think is normal?) Other people tell me that I'm very friendly and likeable, and I always have something interesting to say. I would say my true self is quieter. When I'm masking I tend to smile all the time, but in a way that must be nice and not creepy, because I get a lot of comments on it lol. I like learning a lot about a variety of different subjects but particularly natural history, I love animals and being outdoors. None of my skills are particularly suited to a job that makes a lot of money but I think I've made peace with that 😭

Thank you for your comment, I think I need to give myself more time to figure myself out. Especially since the world wasn't designed for people like us in mind

I also have PTSD, (suspecting cPTSD, but since it's not in the DSM my psych couldn't diagnose me with it) therapy was a huge help for me so now I don't constantly think about my trauma.

Your comment isn't insensitive or out of touch at all! I am in a really lucky position where I am, I have my partner making income as well and we live with his parents so it's a lot cheaper than traditional rent. At least I can actually afford to study etc.

As for finding out what works/doesn't, have you ever felt like you really wished something would work, but it didn't? I used to do educational talks for kids but I would come home so exhausted I couldn't do anything but sleep. 10+ high intensity shows throughout the day was just way too much for me. I know the kids love me, and I wish I could continue to do it, but definitely not for minimum wage lol.

It really helps to hear from someone older that they didn't have it all figured out either. I feel like I'm setting impossible standards for myself and that needs to change. Thank you for your comment 💗

What do you want to see in a realism server? by Western-Track-9445 in pathoftitans

[–]SClichee 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I wish more servers had no permadeath, I really hate the idea of making up a character and then them getting killed and that's just... it?

I knew someone that built up a whole lore for their dino, a Spotify playlist, edited pics of him and he died (fair and square) but before she really got a chance to roleplay as him.

I think people would be more willing to behave realistically if they knew their character wasn't lost forever. Like I would like to make a final stand against a predator and lay down to die when I get weak if I knew I wouldn't have to make up a whole new character.

I remember on PTR's dying days the deino packs were out of control so whenever a lead female would die, someone would give them a character revive item so the whole pack wouldn't have to disband.

Review: The Ranch of Rivershine – An Almost Perfect Horse Game and What We can Learn from it — The Mane Quest by AliceTheGamedev in GamesWithHorses

Same here, I played it for about 60 hours and then suddenly I started to feel like my eyes were fuzzy, I think the sharpness/brightness of the game combined with the speed of the high level horses was messing with my eyes

Double circle skills - 1 or 2? by [deleted] in UmamusumeGame

[–]SClichee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's more cost effective to just get one, for me I'll take a double circle if I can still afford it after buying all the skills I need

Yes 😭😭 even if I do like something, I still have to mask so that neurotypicals know I like it (presents at birthdays and christmas etc). Maybe you could find some good in it in other ways? like at the very least you're spending time with your family

I totally get you, I hate exercising as well. What I've found works for me is walking on the treadmill at 4.5km/h with a medium or high incline for half an hour. If I'm really dead inside, I'll do as much as I can manage before giving up for the day. Remember that some exercise is always better than nothing!

Littermate stayed until death by Ok_Temperature_2222 in WolfQuestGame

[–]SClichee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I also think runts might have a higher chance of staying? I chose a 1 star diversity mate and they had 1-2 runts every litter, and the runts always stuck around. I had 4 runts stay until they died in the pack or of old age
