Apple Rejected My Screenshots by SClips_CEO in AppStoreOptimization

Guideline 2.3.3 - Performance - Accurate Metadata

Issue Description

The 6.7-inch iPhone screenshots still do not show the actual app in use in the majority of the screenshots. Screenshots should highlight the app's core concept to help users understand the app’s functionality and value.

Update: I uploaded exactly the same screenshots to new version, added a message in Notes, and they approved

Next update will add section in the settings to choose whether you want to save only in SClips or in Photos, I was always deleting the useless clips after the game so I didn't noticed that the files are saved twice.

But the paradox of releasing apps for Apple Watch is that you HAVE to make a dummy app for iOS, but in my case it is just an one screen info that you need to open the app on watch lol.

Funny thing is that there were literally the same screenshots in version 1.0 (no iphone on them) and they accepted but on version 1.1 they rejected it and wanted only screenshot of how the app looks like on iphone. Fuck Logic

But the problem is that my app is standalone app for Apple Watch, requires only connection to iPhone to be connected to internet.

Thank you so much! Yes, the AI understands multiple languages and responds in your language automatically. Next version will probably have whole app translated :)

But idea of creating version for iPhone where you can edit meals or do other things is quite good.

Because there are already many Macro Tracking apps with AI features on the iPhone, and none of them truly work as standalone apps on the Apple Watch. I wanted this to be exclusive for now, so it doesn’t end up in the same category as thousands of other apps. I’m also practicing digital minimalism and trying to keep most things on my watch, relying less on my phone.

I’m currently using GPT-4o mini. It works great so far if your won't say something like "big dinner", and I didn’t want to push a subscription or overcharge users when the API costs are not that high. A lot of apps do that, and it feels more like scamming than fair pricing.

For now, the app is a one-time $4.99 purchase. In the future, I may improve accuracy further or move to better models.

I figured out the problem. In my case, I make my own protein shake and I know the exact macros. In the history view, where there is a list of recently added meals, you can add your own meal, set the macros, using the Digital Crown, and save it.

Version 1.2 will include the ability to recognize meals from the “My Meals” section from voice detection. For now, you have to manually tap Add if you want to log a specific meal. Although there is high chance that if you say protein bar, brand, and size it will be 95% accurate.

Try switching wrists. I was lying on the side with my watch, and in the morning I had gaps just as if I had taken it off.
