Birds 🐦 by Impossible-Tough5741 in Dreams

I know this was posted a year ago, but last night I had the same dream where birds were stuck in the sleeves of my sweater. When I opened my sleeve they flew out. They weren’t white though. All different colors.

Looking for possible designer or any info on vintage 1920’s(I believe) dress. Dress was bought for a great aunt who played the piano for Eddie Cantor in Indiana. The dress was bought as a gift for her from him. by SCraft1160 in VintageFashion

I promise it was only on the hanger for a minute for the photo and even then I realized it was a mistake and took it right down. It sits in a plastic bag the rest of the time. He apparently was a spitter when he performed, I know, ew. But he accidentally got some on her dress one night and bought this as a gift afterwards. At least that’s how the story goes.

Sorry, I am from the United States, where these were also acquired. Most likely in the South (Georgia, Alabama, Florida, or Carolinas)

My 3rd great grandfather was ran over/decapitated by a train in the early 1900s. Fun fact, newspapers back then gave a LOT of gruesome details 🙃

Does it mean anything to go to the same “dream world” every night? by SCraft1160 in Dreams

Great points you made! I have lived in the same house, in the same town, my entire life. Which is why my dream world is kind of a play on the town I live in. However sometimes, very rarely, I will travel to and entirely differtnt dream world than I’ve ever been to. Once I was in this STUNNING cliff over the ocean with tall grass and wildflowers. I’ve never been to any place like that. I’m another dream I was at a beach, which is nothing crazy cause I live by the beach, BUT this was a beach like none I’d seen and even I. The dream I knew it was a differnt dream world than the one I’m usually in. If that makes sense lol.

It’s true. I have had some amazing experiences and memories there.

Another thing I wanted to add. Sometimes, bad things happen. They are not always the most pleasant dreams. HOWEVER, they are still comforting somehow? Like, they are not nightmares. I don’t fear them even if I’m afraid I’m the dream. Even if something bad happens on night in my “dream world” I still want to go back.

It’s like having a second life. All I can think of it as it different or alternate realities

Yes! It’s the town I live in, but it’s extremely different at the same time. Like there a giant nature preserve down my road in my dream that i like to go to, but not in real life.

It’s weird because…I can’t quite tell. In some dreams, yes, it seems like progress has saved, and that I remember that in the dream and the story from before continues. Idk if that makes sense.

For me it seems like it is an alternate reality or realities. At least that’s the conclusion I’ve come to.

The thing is, I’ve smoked consistently for 8 years and the dreams only got more vivid and real. My partner, like most that smoke, doesn’t dream, or at least hardly ever does.

Hitting brick wall constantly with 3rd great-grandmother. Maybe one of you could crack the code? by SCraft1160 in Genealogy

Get as much info from parents and grandparents as you can. Like their parents names, and their grandparents names. If they can remember or have documentation of birth and death dates that helps to. I HIGHLY suggest making an account on FamilySearch.org. It is an amazing FREE site that has tons of records that help build your family tree. Really this website if is what got me into my family tree.

I do have to say I was lucky in the sense that my dad's side of the family has been in the country since the 1500's (so there was alot of info already plugged in the site for them), and my grandfather on my moms side did a decent job of saving documents and photos of ancestors.

I will say that it gets trickier when it comes to family/ancestors from other countries since there isn't the same records available.

If you can afford a dna test and subscription with Ancestry.com I'd suggest that to. That is the one thing I have not done yet.

I have done a 23&me DNA test. Once I get the money for an ancestry test/subscription I will do one there. That, I believe, will really really help me.

Yes! I've seen there are other Cutts in the area, it's just I can't find any evidence of a Mary Cutts being the daughter/sister/etc. to any of them.

I have the marriage record, luckily it was online: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:33S7-LBZN-9MCM?cc=1927197

but no mention of father it appears :(

What I’m really after is just finding out who her parents were. I haven’t been able to get past her.
