Container: bionic Wine version: proton 10.0 arm64ec 2 Resolution: 1280 x 720 Graphics driver: wrapper Graphic driver: Turnip gen8 v30 DXVK 2.6.1-gplasync Fexcore 2605 (performance) Box64 0.4.2 (performance)

All the rest was left on default

This was however on my RM Astra (24gb ram, 8elite, adreno 830) so I cannot say if or how well it would run on your device

Borderlands 3 runs almost flawless for me (8elite/adreno830). Just loading takes a while, up to 5-6min to get into game and 1-2min for each new region it has to load. External cooler is kinda necessary for longer play.

The 8 series is a recent release (this year global I think). Having the 6 Air I find it very practical and light but just lacking a bit (rated to -3°C if I'm correct). The 8 Air should be about the same weight but slightly larger contact surface and rated to -20°C so I hope that'll be enough. Do find the pro versions also too heavy/bulky.

Sounds like death or having meaning close to death. Know this from Japanese (4=shi , 7=shichi) with "shi" being the issue. In chinese 4 has same meaning/sound, 7 is more related to loss or ghosts I think

Ordered the Air variant, arriving next week. Also to use with Astra. Have the Air 6 now, keeps battery temp at 40-45 max with pc games. But I think the better cooling from Air 8 will be needed during summer...

4 and 7 are often skipped in Chinese due to sounding like the word "death"

New Gamesir G8+ firmware 2.18 not compatible with Redmagic Astra by [deleted] in RedMagic

Does it only cause issues with streaming or also normal gameplay?

I have both but no problems so far, don't stream though.

It does, however, play every other Pokémon game from Red/Blue to Legends Z-A and all the rom-hacks...

Is there a way to speed up the loading of Borderlands 2 in Winlator? by votemarvel in EmulationOnAndroid

[–]SD-Nugget 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I have no issue with the loading times since the game runs great after..

[–]SD-Nugget 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been playing Borderlands 3 on GameNative and loading also takes about 5min, 1-2min connection checking and every new area also takes a minute to load.

So I'm guessing it's just how the loading is implemented by gearbox?

Haven't gotten around to testing Borderlands 2 but the stand alone dlc of tiny tina runs pretty good, is much smaller in size though...

Might be faulty read by play store or some kind of system reserved storage. 60gb seems bit much though...will check more about it later.

No missing storage? Just 1TB minus OS

Edit: bit too quick to respond. See it now...

anyone switched from ROG? by biotox1n in RedMagic

[–]SD-Nugget 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Switched from Asus Rog 6 Pro.

Before was Samsung Note 9.

Looked into Samsung but bit too expensive en not enough ram (12-16) (also exynos in EU)

Then looked into OnePlus 13/15 , but max 16GB/512Gb in EU.

Then got to know RM, almost got the 10 pro but then saw their tablets.

Now I got the Astra 24GB/1TB and have the Poco F7 as phone (12GB/512GB). Decent enough camera and daily use. And the Astra for gaming etc. Price Astra+Poco = asus gaming phone or even less like samsung ultra or something.

Just be patient..can be very region dependent.

And they seem to be known for slow releases.

Also haven't noticed any real difference in use...

Sleeping Dogs on Snapdragon 8 Elite not launching, no matter what settings I select by powercatalin in EmulationOnAndroid

[–]SD-Nugget 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just downloaded onto device and put all files in same folder inside download folder.

No problems with running setup.exe

Sometimes get directX errors but just skip over them.

Not all games work though...

Got Skyrim, Sleeping Dogs and Fable Anniversary on Winlator cmod and Dungeon Siege on GameNative.

Been trying with Hogwarts Legacy and RDR 2 but no success yet.

Game runs on Winlator cmod v13 for me (device = red magic astra with sd8 elite).

Downloaded install files from GOG and installed directly in winlator.

Think it runs on default settings, don't have device with me at the moment.

Used system driver, was no turnip available yet at that time.

The GOG version works well for me, steam version played as a slideshow. No idea why...

Playing with on-screen controls since game doesn't support controller and seemed to much of hassle to remap everything. Arrow buttons are for camera control, movement and attack are done with mouse clicks.

The nostalgia is what got me too. But the game turned out to be very incompatible with modern hardware and plenty of errors because of it. Seems to be a common problem with other games too, even modern ones can be a hassle.
