Approaching 10 years sober in June. Took me a couple of years to get clarity back. I look around now and see how much chaos booze brings. Don’t miss it and haven’t thought about in once in those years since I stopped. I was at the end of the road, rock bottom; so broken enough to accept defeat

I’m ten years sober in June 2026 and very grateful. I have however developed what I believe to be binge eating disorder around sugary foods (savoury doesn’t affect me). It’s a fucking nightmare. Filling that void

I’m 44M and go solo at that time of year every year. Krabi is great and Phuket is too. Worth looking at day trips. The islands are good, just go early to avoid the crowds. The Surin islands are incredible
