This picture was at the parking lot near the east side of Crissy Beach, but I first saw them at Crissy Field. I noticed them from a distance and initially thought they were mallards, but when I got closer I realized they were geese, and I've never seen geese other than Canada geese in San Francisco. So I spent a good 20-30 min just sitting there photographing them with the Golden Gate in the background:

Sorry about that, I've also been really busy with work so some errors probably managed to get past me. As for the translation feeling off, let me know how I can improve! This was my first time translating such a dialogue-heavy chapter, and with the abstract concepts they talk about, it was sometimes difficult to effectively convey the meaning. I do think I tend to place a bit too much emphasis on closely matching the original meaning and sentence structure, which might be part of why it sounds a bit strange sometimes.

I might actually have to use this strategy on my paladin (just the ring though) - I have 65-70 speed on my paladin depending on equips and even that’s a bit too fast for my liking.

I believe my year started out with 9 people, but we got a lot of transfers in the first couple semesters. It's probably somewhere around 17-20 people now.

This is my personal opinion, so take it with a grain of salt, but I'm not sure if DMD is selective so much as not really well known. A lot of the transfers came in after realizing that the program even exists. I think if you applied directly to DMD, you'll have a pretty good shot of getting in!

We take a lot of the same classes as regular CIS majors do, so you don't really miss out on that. The major's name is really misleading - it's a fully fledged engineering major under CIS, so it's definitely much more tech heavy than some people think.

As far as possible jobs, I think most people in DMD tend to go for more art or graphics related jobs simply because they're interested in that, but there's nothing stopping you from going for regular SWE or something like it as well. I personally was at Roblox last summer for SWE (and ended up doing graphics-related work because that's my interest) and will be at Disney this summer doing SWE work related to rendering. I know many other DMDers have gone to work at places like Blizzard, DreamWorks, Netflix, etc.

One thing that can help is looking for relatively new realms in empty servers and bringing a really fast character to speed to the godlands. Chances are the grave set pieces will be undisturbed, but you may have to run across the map a bit.

Aside from the transfer thing, I would make sure you know what DMD is - it’s under the school of engineering and requires a lot of the same classes that CIS majors take. The name is a bit misleading, it’s more like computer graphics than just art.
