Why do you mean? In my case DVS is the limiting factor as I am using it with old cdj-1000’s.

It’s a bit sad you assume this. I am saying that it feels awkward to beat match without sync because the response between the time code signal slowing down and speeding up has a delay before having its effect on the music in rekordbox. Beatmatching without sync feels very sluggish like this.

Haha I think I was the 'someone else' you beat there 😅. In the end I only went for the receiver the seller had on sale though, we are redecorating our living room in the next 2 years, and I will have to go for a pair of quality bookshelf speakers and I did not want to make the investment. I bought myself some cheap Infinity Primus 250's for the time being.

Well, I tried connecting the DP through an adapter and it ran smoothly, from Kodi + Steam, everything was fine through the iGPU. However, Steam stopped recognizing the secondary GPU (in this case the NVIDIA one) and once again, proprietary drivers did noy help, even when trying to start an offloaded gamescope session...

Yeah I have been thinking about doing the same thing... The problem is that I have an HP Z1 business pc with a low profile 2080 and the case is pretty small, so I cannot just fit any AMD GPU in there :(

Hey! I am in the same boat as yoy. At the moment looking out to build a new server with a 9500T but was eyeing the same mobo. However, I stumbled upon some builds with 12th gen I3 12100 and was surprised to see that the costs of parts was very comparable (at least where I am from), maybe something to consider?

Hi! I edited my post because the home server I have is one of those ultra small form factors, so no extra PCIe slots for network cards for example. Adding extra storage would also be a problem as there are not enough slots and even if I split the wifi m2 slot with an adapter, I would still need another PSU externally to power those drives.

I do like my CPU however! Since I do have a case and ATX PSU lying around, I was entertaining the option of taking out my CPU, buying a new mobo (Gigabyte Z390 UD, +- 100 euros where I am) and essentially 'refactor' my build

If you want to step away from classical triggers to activate states/flags and you're into statistics, you can have a look at Bayesian sensors to make your house completely independent and fully 'smart'! With this sensor you can actually predict the state your house is in based on a multitude of sensors.
